I was fortunate to have my family with me as I was sworn-in to represent the 105th District in the #PaHouse this week! My top priorities are paid sick leave, education, protecting fundamental rights, increasing the minimum wage and expanding access to life-saving medication.

On Monday, we had athletes, coaches, and families from across Pennsylvania at the Capitol to kick off the @psfcabig33. From our district, I welcomed Zikhere Leaks, Rakhi Seville, and Quincy Smith, who play for Susquehanna Township. 🧵1/2

My staff and I had a great time at CAPPennAEYC’s Early Childhood Education Conference at CrossPoint Church. Connecting residents with programs and resources designed to help them is such an important part of my job and this was a great opportunity!

I spoke with the Department of Health about the need to increase school health services reimbursements. While the number of students with complex medical needs and chronic conditions continues to rise, there’s no reason for these reimbursements to remain flat-funded.

I spoke with the Governor’s Budget Office about pre-Act 9 retirees and COLAs. It’s important that our seniors get taken care of and receive these financial adjustments as the prices of everything continues to rise. youtu.be/pHQSA8apdvQ

Week 3, day 3 of @PA_HouseApprops hearings centers around higher education. We’ll hear today from PA State Related Universities (PSU, Pitt, Temple, and Lincoln) as well as community colleges and PASSHE schools (Millersville, IUP, West Chester) and others.

This week, my staff joined Secretary Redding at Central Dauphin Middle School to promote PA's thriving beef industry. Students taste-tested a variety of burgers to choose which will appear on upcoming lunch menus.

I had an incredible time at PA STEAM Academy's Living Wax Museum! Students were tasked with bringing history to life by portraying influential African American figures through research, storytelling, and performance. These kids worked hard to put on some amazing presentations!

Last week, I joined advocates, leaders, and history makers at @GovernorShapiro's Residence to celebrate Black History Month. It was a wonderful time and an incredible way to wrap up the month.

On Saturday, I attended the 28th African American Read-In at Steelton-Highspire Elementary School The event showcased local African American authors and performances highlighting the 2026 Black History Month theme, “A Century of Black History Month Commemorations.”

Clean and safe drinking water is a fundamental right within a household. Veolia, a water company in my district was approved to raise their rates in January 2025 despite operating at a substandard level of service with discolored water affecting many neighbors in our area.
