Stopped by Rocky Point this morning for the signing of the executive order for the 37th annual Governor’s Bay Day which will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026. Some fun and important facts to keep in mind: • Parking at all RI State beaches will be free. • RIPTA will also be providing free round-trip fare on the South County Express Beach Bus (ripta.com/wp-content/upl…). Service from Central Falls, Cranston, North Providence, Pawtucket, Providence, and Woonsocket to Salty Brine, Roger Wheeler, and Scarborough State Beaches.  • The public is also invited to fish in Rhode Island saltwaters without a recreational saltwater fishing license from Friday, July 24, through Sunday, July 26. Possession and size limits (dem.ri.gov/marinesizes) still apply. I love it when my hometown and my representative district is able to host press conferences and events, so that we can all see and enjoy the beauty of Rocky Point or the 39 miles of coastline in the city of Warwick.

It was great walking in the St. Mary’s Feast parade today and saying hi to so many familiar faces!

My team stopped by Pawtucket City Hall today for the raising of the Argentinian flag in recognition of Argentina’s Independence Day. 🇦🇷 ¡Feliz Día de la Independencia, Argentina!

What a great way to start the Fourth of July! It was fun walking in the Warwick Neck Parade, celebrating with so many friends, neighbors, and families, and enjoying one of Rhode Island’s great community traditions. Had a fun evening at Deerfield Park at @SmithfieldRI’s annual Independence Day Celebration last night! What a crowd!! It’s always great to see so many families and neighbors out celebrating together! Thank you to the @Smithfield_PD, @SmfldRecreation, Smithfield Emergency Management Agency and anyone else who made this event possible and safe. Thank you as well to everyone who signed my nomination papers and helped put me on the ballot this September!

Stopped by the Garden City Farmers Market yesterday with my lovely wife. Great weather, great vendors, and lots of familiar faces. Thanks to everyone who stopped to say hello!

We had a fantastic afternoon at the Bristol Senior Center for a pizza party with local seniors. It was great to sit down, enjoy a slice, and have meaningful conversations about the future of our state. As I travel Rhode Island as a candidate for Attorney General, I’m grateful for opportunities like this to connect directly with voters, hear their concerns, and share my vision for keeping our communities safe and strengthening trust in government. Today, I officially filed my declaration papers to become a candidate for Rhode Island Attorney General!!! This is an important milestone, but more importantly, it marks the next step in a campaign focused on fighting for the people of Rhode Island and delivering the leadership they deserve. Over the months ahead, I’ll continue traveling across our state, listening to residents, and sharing my vision for the Attorney General’s Office. Thank you to everyone who has supported my campaign so far! I’m excited for what lies ahead, and I’m ready to keep working hard to earn your vote on September 9th. Let’s get to work!

Had so much fun attending my first Juneteenth Festival at Providence’s Roger Williams Park Temple to Music. What began in 2019 has grown into a wonderful Rhode Island tradition, bringing families together to celebrate history, culture, and community. As a candidate for Attorney General, I’m grateful for the opportunity to meet people from every corner of our state and celebrate the diversity that makes Rhode Island so special. I danced, enjoyed some great food, supported local vendors, and caught up with many people who know me as a State Representative and are now getting to know me as a candidate for Attorney General. Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, vendors, the performers and especially the attendees who made this year’s festival such a great success. Looking forward to coming back next year!

Last night I joined the Rhode Island Democratic Party and my colleagues in the Rhode Island House and Senate at the 50th Annual Providence PrideFest and the Illuminated Night Parade. It was great to see people come together to celebrate community, inclusion, and respect for one another. Thank you to everyone who helped make this milestone event such a success. Happy Pride, Rhode Island!

Today was a great day for my campaign. I finished first in the Democratic endorsement race for Attorney General at the @RIDemParty State Convention, earning 73 delegate votes and receiving more support than any other candidate in this four-person field. I came just 7 votes short of the majority needed to secure the party’s official endorsement. While no candidate received the endorsement, I am incredibly proud of the broad coalition of Democrats from across Rhode Island who stood with me today. The support I received—more than the next two candidates combined—shows the strength of our campaign and the momentum we are building heading into the September 9th Democratic primary. I want to sincerely thank the members of the Rhode Island Democratic Party for their support and participation in today’s convention. Thank you to Representative Joseph McNamara for nominating me, and thank you to Maureen Maigret for seconding that nomination. Your support means a great deal to me. I am also grateful to the volunteers and staff who worked tirelessly to make this event possible. Your dedication to our democratic process is deeply appreciated. Today’s result is clear: I am the frontrunner in this race for Attorney General, but our work is far from over. I look forward to continuing to earn the trust and support of voters across Rhode Island in the months ahead.
