Chester McGlothlin served American forces with class and honor. Through missions in the European, American and Pacific Theaters, he showed great resolve. Yesterday, I visited Buchanan County to deliver his WW2 medals to his daughter.

Today, my tour of the Clinch Valley Medical Center helped me gather input from dedicated rural health care providers that serve our region. I remain committed in Congress to strengthen rural health care relationships for the benefit of patients in Virginia’s Ninth District.

The EPA Brownfields Program can help redevelop abandoned properties and revitalize the economies of rural America. As a senior member of the Committee that oversees the EPA, I will continue to work to ensure the program adequately serves our rural communities.

I am fighting in DC against radical anti-gun actions. SCOTUS helped deliver a pro-2nd Amendment ruling last week, and they may be called again later to review Virginia’s unconstitutional gun grab. I did buy my AR before the July 1 ban in Christiansburg.

Federal programs to expand broadband connections for rural communities must look at all options, including lower earth orbit satellites. While large customers like hospitals and schools may need fiber, our goal is to connect everyone as efficiently as possible.

As someone who supported the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, this SCOTUS ruling lets states protect female athletics! States including Virginia should adopt policies that keep biological men out of women’s sports.
