I supported H.R. 1422, the Enhanced Iran Sanctions Act told hold Iran accountable by targeting its petroleum and petrochemical sector and those who enable it. This bill strengthens enforcement, cracks down on sanctions evasion, and ensures pressure stays on the regime, not innocent civilians, while protecting humanitarian aid.

Congratulations to another outstanding student artist, Katelynn Nguyen, whose powerful piece confronts the pressure young women face under society’s beauty standards. This student has captured a moment many can relate to, but few can express so clearly. As she shared, “Winning this competition truly means the world to me… [it] gives my art the chance to be recognized… by anyone who is willing to see and understand my message.”  In a world that constantly tries to define beauty, Katelynn’s piece is a reminder that self-worth isn’t something society gets to decide based on beauty standards.

I’m honored to have received a 100% rating from the Family Research Council. Their mission to champion faith, family, and freedom, and to advance a culture where life is valued and religious liberty thrives, is at the core of what I’m fighting for in Congress. I’ll continue working every day to defend those principles and deliver for the people I serve.

I was honored to attend this year’s Congressional Art Competition and celebrate the incredible talent in our district. Congratulations to our first-place winner, Leila Marty, whose piece beautifully captures the spirit of Puerto Rican culture through the vibrant tradition of bomba y plena, a powerful expression of heritage, rhythm, and unity. "My idea of the perfect American dream is the ability to share diversity and the freedom to choose your own path. It’s no secret that aspiring to be a famous artist is a goal many believe will fail. But in order for me to succeed in life I must follow my passion whether I fail or not, I rather say I tried then never try at all. Winning this award shows me that I can write my own story. A story where I am able to show my creative soul while still including my beautiful culture that I once didn’t see. My dream is to one day be a name that inspires others to chase the impossible,” — Leila Marty.  We’re proud to have such an inspiring young artist representing our district with her work.

I had the honor of picking one piece to hang in my personal office. I felt that Zoey's piece best represented the times we are currently in. Her work is both visually striking and emotionally powerful, capturing the fear and disorientation of feeling lost through fragmented maps, bold red tones, and a blindfolded figure searching for direction. Her piece doesn’t offer easy answers but captures the tension of uncertainty, where direction isn’t always clear and outside voices can pull you off course. Zoey’s work challenges us to think about how we find our footing when everything around us feels uncertain. It is an honor to hang her piece in the hallways of Congress.  As Zoey shared, “I didn’t expect to win anything from this competition, much less have my piece get handpicked by the Congressman. I was honestly worried my piece would scare people, seeing that I painted it to be stress-inducing. But when they called my name before Congressman Mills spoke about my piece, my jaw dropped. This is honestly my biggest accomplishment art-wise, and I cannot be grateful enoug h to have my piece displayed in the heart of the United States.”

Helping constituents navigate federal agencies is one of my top priorities. After months of delays trying to secure FEMA/NFIP assistance, one FL-07 resident reached out to my office for help. Within just three weeks, my team worked with the agency to resolve the issue and get the funding delivered, so rebuilding could finally begin. Stories like this are why we do what we do. I’m proud to stand with my colleagues that we will be voting NO on any Senate bills that arrive on the House Floor until the Senate passes the SAVE America Act. We must protect our elections!

Fraud against taxpayers isn’t victimless, it takes resources from families right here in Florida’s 7th District. I voted YES on the Deporting Fraudsters Act (H.R. 1958) to protect our community and hold bad actors accountable. ✔️ Makes benefits fraud a deportable offense ✔️ Bars re-entry into the U.S. ✔️ Ends immigration relief for offenders If you game the system, you don’t get to stay in it.

Harming the animals who protect our communities is unacceptable. That’s why I voted YES on the BOWOW Act (H.R. 4638) to stand with law enforcement and defend the K-9s that serve alongside them in Florida’s 7th District.

Hunting and fishing are a way of life for many families in Florida’s 7th District and I’m committed to protecting that tradition. I voted YES on the Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act (H.R. 556) to keep access open on our federal lands and waters. ✔️ Prevents broad bans on lead ammo and tackle ✔️ Protects access for hunters and anglers ✔️ Allows targeted, science-based exceptions when needed I’ll always stand up for our sportsmen and women and defend responsible outdoor traditions.

My office had the opportunity to meet with Cheree Burgess, owner of OsteoStrong, and seeing firsthand how her team is helping people take a proactive approach to bone health to people in Florida’s 7th District. Through quick, personalized sessions using advanced technology, OsteoStrong is improving bone density, posture, and joint strength, especially for those facing osteoporosis. It’s encouraging to see innovation like this already being recognized by UnitedHealthcare Supplement plans. In Congress, I am working to expand access to preventive care and ensure coverage keeps pace with solutions that help Americans stay strong, healthy, and independent.

U.S. foreign assistance plays a vital role in helping those in need, but has too often been plagued by waste, fraud, and abuse, enriching bad actors instead of promoting American interests. As Chairman of the Oversight & Intelligence Subcommittee, I am committed to shining a light on a broken system where weak oversight allowed taxpayer dollars to be exploited, even to the point of being diverted to terrorist organizations. We owe it to the American people to demand accountability. That means reforming foreign assistance so every dollar is tracked and every program is measured by real outcomes, not just dollars spent. It’s time to fix the system and put American taxpayers first.

Join us Saturday, April 18, 2026! Florida’s 7th Congressional district is hosting Service Academy Expo Day from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Seminole State College in Sanford, FL. Organized by the offices of Rep. Cory Mills and Sen. Rick Scott, this event offers high school and middle school students, and their families, the opportunity to learn about U.S. Service Academy nominations and admissions process. The expo is free, open to the public, and begins with registration at 9:00AM.

.@RepMillsPress: As a nation, we should be embarrassed that funding to foreign countries has too often strengthened America’s adversaries and terrorist groups using our own tax dollars. Reform of our foreign assistance programs is long overdue.

My office had a great time at the Longwood Strawberry Fest, one of the many events that brings Florida’s 7th District together. From fresh-picked strawberries to incredible desserts, it’s a celebration of local flavor, small businesses, and community spirit. Add in live music and it’s easy to see why this is a favorite for so many families across our district. In Congress, I am focused on supporting the local growers, small businesses, and community events that keep traditions like this thriving here in Central Florida.

Keeping my friend Susie Wiles in my prayers after learning of her breast cancer diagnosis. She has been a strong, respected leader serving President Trump and our country. Cancer picked the wrong woman. I have no doubt she’ll face this fight with the same strength she’s shown throughout her career.

I’m proud to recognize the incredible students from Florida’s 7th District who participated in this year’s Congressional Art Competition. Established in 1982, this nationally recognized, bipartisan competition highlights the creativity and dedication of high school artists from across the country. Simply being selected to participate is a significant achievement. These students demonstrated exceptional talent, discipline, and creativity to have their work considered for this prestigious opportunity. The arts play a vital role in education, encouraging students to think creatively, express their perspectives, and develop skills that will serve them for a lifetime. I’m grateful to the students, teachers, and families who make events like this possible and help showcase the incredible talent found throughout our district. Congratulations to all of the participants.

I had a great time visiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and seeing firsthand the incredible work they’re doing to serve families across our community. Their network of more than 800 partners ensures neighbors across Central Florida have access to the food they need. In Congress, I’m working to strengthen our communities by supporting policies that empower local organizations, expand economic opportunity, and ensure families in Florida’s 7th District have the resources they need to thrive. I’m grateful for the volunteers and staff stepping up every day to serve others.
