So, these are negotiating points, not a list of absolute demands, as though you're a hostage taker or selling yourself. As such, both side will have points they want, and constitutional or cultural barriers. Not a bad list; full representation in Congress obviously, dollar parity conversion should be model tested but... very possible with some structural reforms in Canada (that would be inherent with accession), health care... given US aging we may end up there anyway. Only French and guns laws (as you stringently interpret them) are probable non-starters for us. BUT we can likely work-out accommodations of varying degrees for the rest, and if offered independence for a few land concessions, that would resolve the Quebec issue anyway. Does anyone in the possible new northern states really like sitting through two versions of the same speech EVERY TIME, always having nuanced variations picked-out? Seems inefficient. A nation of over 400M and the geographically largest on the planet. Mayyyybe add on Greenland and a little barrier strip in Central America for extra security, and we got something here... almost like a sort of destiny. That we meditated over and... manifested.
