As the month of Ramadan comes to a close, I want to wish everyone celebrating a joyous Eid al-Fitr! May today bring you blessings and peace alongside loved ones. Eid Mubarak!

We’re spending billions of tax-payer dollars a day funding the President’s illegal, open-ended war on Iran. We’ve already lost thirteen brave American troops, and Trump is demonstrating – more and more concerningly everyday – that he is way out of his depth. I voted to rein in his war powers not just because he violated the process – but because this war is bad for the American people. It’s bad for troops in theater. It’s bad for Americans at the gas pump. And it’s bad for the Gold Star families having their kids sent home in flag-draped coffins. It never should have started in the first place – so no way am I supporting giving Trump, Hegseth, and the rest of them another dime of your hard-earned money to continue the chaos while the President plays another round of golf and companies like Lockheed Martin rake in billions.

No one in this country should ever worry about where their next meal is coming from, but nearly everyone who responded to my grocery prices survey said they were feeling the burden of increasing food costs. That’s why I’ll keep pushing to get my Lower Grocery Prices Act passed.

Today, 224 years later, USMA remains the world's preeminent leader development institution, training young men and women to be the next generation of Army officers. I want to wish a huge Happy 100th Birthday to Hudson Valley hero & WWII veteran Ralph Osterhoudt! It was an honor to present Ralph with a Congressional Record to celebrate. Ralph, it’s been a privilege to fight for our veterans community alongside you over the years.

Huge congrats to Minisink Valley grad P.J. Duke for dominating the Big Ten’s wrestling tournament! He & Middletown grad Stephan Monchery are both moving on to the NCAA tournament later this month. The entire Hudson Valley will be cheering you on P.J. & Stephan!

Happy Birthday @WestPoint_USMA! For 224 years, West Point has stood as a beacon of American values of duty, honor, and country. I will continue to fight to deliver for West Point and everyone who puts their life on the line for this country.
