Happy Sunday! It is an honor to worship today at Tremont Baptist Temple in beautiful downtown Boston. In 1839, Tremont Temple was founded as "a church with free seats where everyone, rich or poor, black or white, should be on the same religious level," and as "the Sabbath home for the stranger and the traveler." Its present building, situated in the heart of downtown Boston, was designed by C. H. Blackwell and completed in 1894. Tremont Temple has had a long ministry of inspirational music and preaching. The pulpit has been occupied by preachers and evangelists such as Dwight Moody, Evangeline Booth, Billy Sunday, Gypsy Smith, and Billy Graham. On his last visit to the U.S., Charles Dickens gave one of his famous readings at Tremont Temple, and Abraham Lincoln gave an address here before he was elected President. “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

Finally some good news! “The Trump administration reportedly is weighing a new strategy to halt offshore wind development including a proposal to pay nearly $1 billion to cancel major projects backed by a foreign energy company…. If finalized, the proposed settlements would represent one of the most aggressive steps yet in the administration's effort to unwind the previous administration's green energy agenda and reorient U.S. policy toward traditional energy dominance.” Read the full story here: newsmax.com/politics/trump…

Agree or disagree with resolutions - they are a part of the legislative process because that is how the majority party wants it. Last year, we entered into public record the condemnation of political violence perpetrated on Democrat lawmakers from Minnesota. I thought it right and fitting to enter into public record that we also condemn political violence against conservatives. Maine Senate Democrats couldn't do that. Here is what the Maine Senate Democrats shamefully could not agree with: "RESOLVED: That We, the Members of the One Hundred and Thirty-second Legislature now assembled in the Second Regular Session, on behalf of the people we represent, take this opportunity: 1. To condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the assassination of Charles “Charlie" James Kirk and all forms of political violence; 2. To extend our deepest condolences and prayers to Charlie Kirk's family, including his wife, Erika, and their children; 3. To honor the life, faith, leadership and legacy of Charlie Kirk, whose example inspired a generation to cherish liberty and stand firm in their faith; and 4. To call upon all Americans, regardless of party or creed, to reject political violence, recommit to respectful debate, uphold American values and recognize one another as fellow citizens."

It was a pleasure to reconnect with familiar faces and old friends from the Pro-Family Legislator Network and the traveling American Journey Experience Museum. If you didn’t get a chance to come check it out, you missed out! Thank you Representative Shelley Rudnicki for coordinating this at the Maine State Capitol!

🚨 ANOTHER potential tax increase on the horizon! 🚨 Politicians in Augusta appear poised to pass LDs 229 and 1089 this session, which would raise Maine’s top income tax rate to 10.95%. Our research concludes that either one of these bills could individually cause *serious* damage to Maine’s economy if passed: ‣ Slower economic growth and reduced investment ‣ Increased revenue volatility and budget risk ‣ Risk of talent loss and reduced attraction of high-value workers ‣ Widening competitive disadvantage relative to New Hampshire ‣ Disproportionate impact on employers and small businesses Consequently, Maine Policy *strongly* opposes these bills. What you can do: 📄 Read our full article on LDs 229 and 1089 on our website to learn more: mainepolicy.org/lds-229-1089/ 📢 USE YOUR VOICE! Tell Augusta lawmakers to REJECT these bills, and that you OPPOSE another tax increase! mainepolicy.org/bills/increasi…

The Maine Democrats have no decency. They just voted to indefinitely postpone my resolution to honor Charlie Kirk. I said what I said. We honored the life of Democrat lawmakers from Minnesota being murdered because of political violence but they couldn’t do the same for a conservative. Despicable.

Here’s the status of my Joint Resolution to honor the life of Charlie Kirk. This picture appears to show the democrat whip Jill Duson asking her member, Senator Nicole Grohoski to kill a harmless resolution simply honoring the life of Charlie Kirk. This is how the Democrats operate. We will see if the Maine democrats can honor the life of someone taken by political violence. I will keep you updated.

Maine Democrats push every other bad bill in the country so I wonder how long it will take for this one to pass. “Nanny state Democrats in Connecticut are trying to pass a bill that would require school districts to file a report with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) for anyone who pulls their child out of public schools, the CT Mirror reports. That proposal, however, may run afoul of federal law.
