Yesterday, Gresham first responder vehicles were hit twice by drunk drivers. No injuries occurred, but these incidents underscore the dangers of impaired driving. I will be reviewing accountability measures to ensure we hold drunk drivers fully accountable.

Honored to attend the Gresham Firefighters Local 1062 fundraiser. The custom shirts by Pacific Fire Apparel were a hit, with all proceeds supporting the Tejedas Family. Our community's strength lies in our support for one another, especially in tough times.

This initiative will have a lasting positive impact on our students, educators, and communities. A big thank you to her staff as well for working on this in a meaningful way. We got a lot of work ahead of us to support our preschools, k-12, community colleges, & universities.

I would like to extend my thanks to Governor Kotek for her leadership and commitment to addressing the critical issues in our education system. The rollout of this plan, particularly in revising the current service level formula, represents a significant step forward.

This was not Gun Violence! Guns don’t get violent, People Do! Democrats have been calling for violence for several years. The left has been calling President Trump Hitler and now his life was almost taken by violence. We must pray for our country and the families affected today.

Gun violence is a horrific and traumatizing experience for anyone involved. Regardless of political affiliations, I sincerely hope that President Trump and the rally participants remain safe and that those responsible are held fully accountable.

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the Reynolds High School shooting in Troutdale, OR. My heart remembers Emilio and the lives forever changed. I honor our community's strength and resilience. May our grief fuel support for each other and a future free from such heartbreak.
