Once again, the Leftist media never bothers to get (or even ask for) the full story. I’m here WGAL; it just takes a phone call… I remain staunchly supportive of our Law Enforcement using the tools necessary to get the bad guys. At the same time, I take very seriously my Oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States…,“ which, under the Fourth Amendment, guarantees your right to privacy, and against unlawful search and seizure. BTW, WGAL, you might want to check social media – since it’s apparently your preferred method of journalism - and you’ll see thousands of American Citizens concerned/complaining about this issue everywhere - including the 10th District.

America won’t be far behind if we can’t kill the Kill Switch. Government shouldn’t be able to control your vehicle - or turn it into a surveillance tool. KILL THE KILL SWITCH.

Yesterday, thousands of Pennsylvanians enjoyed more to American history - rolling right through our backyard! The “Big Boy” No. 4014 - the largest and most powerful operating steam locomotive in the world - made its way through the Harrisburg area as part of its coast-to-coast tour marking America's 250th Birthday. I extend my great thanks to everyone who made this a safe and memorable event for our region. Moments like this don't happen often, and I'm glad so many had the chance to be part of it.

🇺🇸A bipartisan amendment that would have effectively banned police use of Flock and other LPR cameras nationwide was killed in a House committee without debate. The amendment, introduced by Reps. Scott Perry (R-PA) and Jesús García (D-IL), would have barred any agency receiving federal highway funds from using license plate readers for anything except tolling. It failed 20-44. The outcome comes as Flock faces growing political and legal pushback over privacy concerns and data misuse.

Flock and Flock-like cameras track where law-abiding people go, who they visit, and how they live - all without a warrant.   I attempted to stop this with an amendment, which unfortunately failed recently in Committee; that’s not the end of this, though. The mass surveillance of the American People must end. Call your legislators.   STOP THE FLOCK.

“Birth tourism” makes a mockery of our constitutional order, threatens our national security, and devalues citizenship. We are evaluating all our options to address the crisis following the Supreme Court’s errant opinion.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

Today marks 250 years since our Founding Fathers gathered in Philadelphia and declared to the world that we are all created equal, and the endowed with the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. 56 men signed their names to a document that was, in essence, their death warrant, should the Revolution have failed. They pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to a previously inconceivable idea: that a government should derive its powers from the consent of The People. 250 years later, that ideal still defines us. America isn’t perfect; however, no nation has done more to advance freedom, opportunity, and human dignity. As we celebrate America's 250th, we honor our Independence - and the tireless courage and honor it took to earn and maintain it - not only with fireworks, but with a renewed commitment to defend our liberties and to remember that freedom is never more than one generation away from being lost. Happy Independence Day, and God bless the United States of America!

Really cool to see The Great American State Fair, but I wanted to share Pennsylvania’s booth for those who won’t be able to make it to DC to see it - a proud reminder of the innovation, diligence, and history that make the Keystone State a vital chapter in America’s story. Nothing like this happens without teamwork. Great thanks Senators @SenMcCormickPA and @SenFettermanPA for taking the lead, and the businesses and organizations that contributed and banded together to make it happen so quickly and so well. Outstanding!

The Senate needs to do their jobs - and stop walking out on the American People Stay in DC, deliberate, debate, and VOTE. Let us see where you stand - AT LEAST. PASS THE SAVE ACT, like America told you to do!

Congratulations, Alyssa Zahurak from Wellsville, PA and a graduate of Northern HS, for winning the 2026 Congressional Art Competition for the 10th District! Alyssa’s artwork is AMAZING, and it was great to sit and talk about her process and her future plans - which I suspect will be very successful, regardless of what she chooses to do.   Alyssa’s acrylic painting, Weight of Freedom, depicts GEN George Washington in solitary prayer during the fight for our independence - even more powerful considering we’re celebrating our Nation’s 250th Anniversary and all it took to earn that independence.   Congratulations again, Alyssa, on a job exceptionally well done. Good luck at Gettysburg College, and we look forward to seeing more of your future art, adventures, and successes in the future!

What a privilege this weekend to join the Cathedral Parish of Saint Patrick in celebrating its amazing and blessed 200th Anniversary (July 1, 1826)! I was humbled to present to Bishop Timothy Senior, who leads the Harrisburg Diocese that calls the Cathedral its mother church, the flag flown over our Nation’s Capitol in the Cathedral’s honor and the official entry into the Congressional Record commemorating this auspicious occasion. Beyond being the spiritual home for thousands in our area, the Cathedral is an architectural landmark, a jewel in the crown of the Commonwealth, and a truly breathtaking work of art. Regardless of your faith, I encourage you to visit; and if you’ve done so, visit again! To Fr. Joshua Brommer, Rector and Pastor, for his leadership, guidance, and diligence in and outside of the spiritual realm, as well as the tireless and dedicated Staff and faithful Parishioners of this amazing Parish family who contribute so much in so many ways to our communities, THANK YOU. Congratulations again on your Bicentennial, and I wish you God’s continued blessings for many years to come.

I’m all for child safety.  I’m also all for parenting, supervising, and protecting kids – to include the two minors of my own.  This bill – HR 7757 - under the guise of “kids’ safety,” is just more government creating a vehicle for mass surveillance – ultimately leading to a digital surveillance state that leads to suppression of privacy, free speech, and punitive action against dissenting views - all under the guise of child safety. This is the first phase.  Pretty soon, everything you do will be tracked – and judged – by the government. All I hear about right now are complaints and concerns on this issue; my constituents are all for safety and protection; what they don’t support are large scale ID databases, Central Bank Digital Currency, data centers, warrantless surveillance, camera surveillance, kill switches in cars, etc.  There’s too much government in our lives and too many breaches into our privacy. BTW – check out the “UK Online Safety Act,” passed a year ago this month in Great Britain, aimed at “keeping children from accessing adult content.” Well, surprise:  the UK’s now using it for “age verification requirements” for adults (who must upload their ID / do a facial scan) to use any social media. Worse yet, now the UK is cracking down on any dissenting views; in this case, IT apparently doesn’t like citizens’ criticism about Islamic migration overwhelming the country. Yes, they imprison people for political dissent there…   Our government ultimately will be able to attack dissenters and quash dissent.  Goodbye, First Amendment.      I was a “NO” vote on this last night.

The SCOTUS ruling has failed the American People. Both Roberts and Barrett sided with the Left to protect birthright citizenship for the children of illegal aliens. Now, more than ever, we must ensure the security of our borders and to prevent those who wish to do us harm by exploiting our immigration system are unable to do so; which means closing EVERY. SINGLE. LOOPHOLE. My bill, the “Preventing International Surrogacy Exploitation Act” (H.R. 9132) stops “birth tourism,” by foreign nationals exploiting surrogacy (and endangering children) in the U.S.
