Taxpayer dollars are funding the Pentagon’s wining and dining campaign for an even larger budget while this Administration proposes cuts that help Americans find housing and lower energy bills. They've made their priorities clear, and it's not fiscal accountability or affordability for the American people already struggling to make ends meet.

It was great meeting with the Douglas Forest Protective Association (DFPA) to discuss the state of wildfire protection in Oregon, the importance of Secure Rural Schools funding to our communities and public lands and how we can work together to improve their infrastructure. With our wildfire seasons getting more severe, it’s important we are all as prepared as possible to protect our forests and communities.

After 10 days, even though the President didn’t sign the bill, the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act has become law. This is what happens when Congress works together to do the things that we were sent here to do.

I stopped by the Linn-Benton Community College's Agricultural Center to check out the progress on their new arena, sheep barn, horse paddock and more. These improvements will provide enhanced, on-site learning opportunities and eliminate travel barriers for agricultural and animal science students. Go Roadrunners!

I had a great time meeting with Umpqua Community College’s Upward Bound TRIO program. TRIO gave me the support I needed when I was in school and now it supports over 12,000 students in Oregon. TRIO is an amazing program for first-generation, rural and frontier students to get the guidance they need on their way to college.

Republicans let enhanced ACA premium tax credits expire, driving up costs for families. Now, reports show that in 2027, Americans risk increases in health insurance premiums, and up to 200,000 Oregonians could lose their health insurance.
