Yup, you read that right Loveland. Our deficit has increased to $1.5 billion! This is the second year Dems have managed CO to a deficit. Last year during Gov Polis’ special session. We, the GOP submitted fiscally responsible cuts, but Dems didn’t care about our suggestions. We cannot continue to overspend year after year and allow Coloradans to foot our bill. Our responsibility is to manage a balanced budget and something I’ll continue to fight for. You work too hard for it to be spent like there’s no tomorrow, we shouldn’t take that for granted. Days like today remind me how blessed I’ve been serving as your Representative, it humbles me and reinforces that old saying, “Never underestimate the impact you can have on someone.” I was honored to have befriended @jakesavala and Halo. They’ll stop by the office to chit chat and I get to play Halo for a while. They presented me with the No-Bite award which identifies as a friend to our first responders and service animals.

Folks, we’re not being good stewards of tax payer money. Our legislative session is 120 days right now. Since session began 22 days ago, there’s been many days that I’ve driven down to the capitol and within 7-20 minutes or so, we gaveled out for the day. I proposed a bill and it was stopped in committee which would’ve shorten our session from 120 days to 90 days, doing two-fold. Eliminating unnecessary work and saving CO money from having to stay open for no reason.

I am opposed to HB26-1001. Local communities like Loveland know what works best for their residents. One size from the state does not fit all. #HomeRule #LocalControl #Loveland

Serving this community has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I am deeply grateful to every supporter, volunteer, friend, and neighbor who trusted me and stood with me. I was inspired to serve my community because I believe deeply in giving back to the place that gave my family opportunity. As an immigrant who came to this country for a better life, I have immense gratitude for the freedoms, rule of law, and values that make America exceptional.
