As costs are rising, our farmers are bearing the brunt of those prices.
Recently, I brought together farmers, ag leaders, students, and local elected officials for a first-of-its-kind Agricultural Summit in Harrington to address the needs facing Delaware’s ag industry.
Our conversation focused on how to deliver real solutions for farmers and to ensure, no matter your acreage, that you can earn a living wage and provide for your family.

TSA agents are working without pay because Congressional Republicans refuse to take action and rein in ICE and their cruelty.
Last night, I signed a discharge petition to force a vote on a bill to pay TSA agents, FEMA, and the Coast Guard—reopening every part of DHS except ICE.
If Republicans are serious about ensuring the security of the homeland, then they need to join us and condemn this chaos.

LEEP in Wilmington is helping Delawareans build real pathways to good-paying jobs through employment readiness training, apprenticeship connections, mentoring, and supportive services — including for justice-involved individuals and others facing barriers to employment.
I was proud to visit them recently and see firsthand how they’re expanding opportunity and strengthening our workforce.

I am grateful to hear that there were no injuries after an attack on Temple Israel Synagogue in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan. Today is a wrenching reminder of the scourge of antisemitism in this country, and it must be condemned in the strongest terms. I'm thinking of the Temple Israel community as they recover from this attack, as well as the first responders and law enforcement who acted swiftly.
We cannot become numb to such abhorrent violence, especially in places of worship.

Yesterday morning I joined the Delaware Technology Forum in Wilmington to talk with innovators and entrepreneurs about the future of our economy.
From chips to financial services to broadband, Delaware has long led the way in harnessing the potential of technology to grow jobs and expand opportunity.
I'm proud to be delivering investments to Delaware that build on our longstanding leadership in science and research. I’m committed to making sure Washington builds an innovation eco-system that protects our workers, our small businesses, our health, and our communities.

At the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League, I spoke with local leaders about what real economic empowerment looks like. From workforce development to closing opportunity gaps, we should be aiming to ensure more Delawareans can access good-paying jobs and build lasting stability.
The Urban League’s work—supporting entrepreneurs, connecting people to opportunity, and advancing equity—is about turning potential into progress. Partnerships like this are how we build an economy that truly works for everyone in Delaware.

Lately, there has been an uptick in fabricated quotes and AI-generated images of me on social media. Even seemingly innocuous quotes can be spread to stoke division and misrepresent perspectives. AI slop on social media is becoming a dangerous vehicle for misinformation.
If you see a post from a page you don’t recognize, take a moment to verify it before sharing it. And I'll continue to push for common-sense guard rails and digital citizenship tools to protect all of us from fake or violent content.

The Committee of 100 has long been a pillar of Delaware’s business community. Federal investment should strengthen the foundations our communities rely on — from infrastructure to economic development and workforce growth.
I was glad to have the opportunity to connect with the Committee and share my vision for continuing to move Delaware forward through strong public-private partnerships across industries.

Delaware is a state of neighbors — which means when we work together, we get things done. I'm grateful to have met with many of the mayors serving coastal Delaware communities today to strategize more investment in infrastructure, environmental protection, and the economic vitality of our coastal communities.

Great to be in Georgetown today visiting The Way Home, a partner in our efforts to support returning citizens in Sussex County. The Way Home provides housing assistance, job placement, and mental health and substance use disorder treatment — vital services that help reduce recidivism and ensure people who have served their time can contribute to our communities and our economy.

Federally Qualified Health Centers are lifelines for communities across Delaware. That’s why I’m honored to receive the National Association of Community Health Centers’ Distinguished Community Health Center Advocate Award.
I’ll keep working in Congress to protect health care access for every Delawarean.

A disgusting display of hatred from a sitting member of Congress. Islamophobia and bigotry have no place in our communities — or in our politics.

Every year, Delaware celebrates Climate Week — a chance to come together across industries and communities to find local and state solutions to protect our home from climate change and safeguard our environment for future generations.
I was proud to speak about the work I’m doing in Congress to defend Delaware from the impacts of the climate crisis and protect our natural heritage.

I want to point out something that’s getting lost in the conversation around Donald Trump’s foreign policy: regardless of what happens in the short term, we’ll be living with the long-term consequences of blowing up international rules and replacing them with a “might makes right” world.
And in that world, where more countries pursue nuclear weapons, the inevitable consequence is either more military strikes to prevent them—or more countries with nuclear weapons.

I voted in favor of the War Powers Resolution to push back against Trump’s reckless and illegal war. The Iranian regime is evil, just as Saddam Hussein was—but that doesn’t make war smart or responsible. Congress must assert its authority and protect American troops and taxpayers from yet another forever war.
English

This president has pushed our country into a war of choice in the Middle East based on misrepresented intelligence, changing objectives, and no clear exit strategy. This president is putting American lives at risk and diverting a billion dollars a day from needs here at home in pursuit of a reckless and illegal military operation.
I am voting for the Khanna-Massie War Powers Resolution because I believe this war is wrong. But regardless of the merits of the mission, the Constitution is clear: the power to take our nation to war belongs to Congress. That safeguard exists for a reason — to prevent reckless decisions that put American servicemembers’ lives at risk without a clear national purpose. And now six U.S. servicemembers have lost their lives while Trump’s illegal war rages on.
Everyone in Congress agrees that the Iranian regime is evil; the same was true for Saddam Hussein, but that didn’t make military action in Iraq smart or responsible. This Administration is repeating the mistakes of past wars—upending diplomacy, shifting justifications, rash-decision-making, unclear objectives, and no credible plan to protect troops, minimize civilian death, or prevent regional escalation.
The American people and I are done with forever wars – and our government should be, too.
