Some personal news: I have accepted a full-time job as a communications and public affairs specialist with the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC). I've been working with the SOGC on contract for the last few months, but as of today, it's permanent.

Here's a piece of literature by me, suitable for seventeen-year-olds in Alberta schools, unlike -- we are told -- The Handmaid's Tale. Well, it kind of is, eh?) Oh, and they never died, because who wants to dwell on, you know, death and corpses and yuk? So they lived happily ever after. But while they were doing that The Handmaid’s Tale came true and Danielle Smith found herself with a nice new blue dress but no job. The end.

I’m at the Charlottetown Social Issues Forum - candidates @ndp Joe Byrne, PPC Robert Lucas, @CanadianGreens Daniel Cousins, @liberal_party Sean Casey. The PC candidate Natalie Jameson apparently had another commitment.

Over the past months I wrote letters to all federal party leaders urging them to nominate more women, to correct the gender gap in our elected parliament . Canada ranks a dismal 69th in the world. With nominations now closed, I’m waiting for these results to assess progress!
