@nanshisweets In Florida I’d say we’re best known for our oranges. Strawberry Shortcake is the state dessert while Key Lime Pie is the state pie. We’re also well known for our seafood and to a lesser extent gator tail.

@shion0_25mg This is an American dish from Hawaii called Loco Moco eaten for breakfast or brunch that may be a nice comfort food crossover. The base is white rice that is topped with a cooked hamburger patty. Brown gravy is ladled over that and the burger is topped with fried egg.

@chefsevenn Looks like it doesn’t need anything. If I were to add something it would probably be steak sauce, BBQ sauce, or a thicker teriyaki depending on the cut and seasonings already on the meat.

@SeanKy_ Some of the sweetness can be mitigated by making sweets at home from scratch. It’s more labor intensive and costs more, but you can control the sugar and other things being put into the cake. I seldom buy any desserts now from the store. Here’s a couple of homemade cakes I made.

@seedyoulater We have fresh berries year long in my state (Florida) because temperatures are warm most of the year. Strawberries in particular are popular- we even have a state Strawberry Festival and our state dessert is strawberry shortcake. Berries can also be frozen so they keep longer.

They blackwashed Snape, whitewashed Pavarti Patil, and give us a thin Vernon and Dudley. None of that is accurate.

I don't care at all what text you suggest, everything is open to change and reinterpretation. If it changes the story then it tells a different story and that's totally ok.

At the end of the day, if they really wanted a race-swapped Snape, casting an Asian man would have made sense. Would be close enough to the book description. What they're doing is ragebait and/or a complete lack of regard for the source material.
