@pfcmichael Imagine doubling down on this and thinking you’re the victim. Frustrated or not, at some point you should have realised there are bigger things than football. Someone died. Of course Pfc don’t want to be associated with someone who thinks this behaviour is appropriate.

Labour’s in trouble, so lets be clear before they come for us: Disabled people are NOT responsible for the UK’s economic crisis. Those of us on benefits are often left in poverty, needing to use foodbanks to survive. We contribute to society in many ways. Don’t scapegoat us.

They lied about the EU and they will lie about the ECHR. The media won’t notice or care. Rinse and repeat.

I'm just gonna say it, the whole "We shouldn't give poor people benefits because hypothetically some of the could be lazy" is the fakest ethical debate ever

The insistence that autism and ADHD are 'overdiagnosed' is incredibly sinister when you consider the fact that entire populations - women, people of colour - have historically been denied access to those diagnoses and the increase in numbers is partly due to making up that gap.

i want to break down some disability stats because i see a lot of people balking at the idea that there are 16 million disabled people in the UK (only 3.6 million of those on PIP, and only 37% of those claimants on the highest amount of £737 a month) let’s have a 🧵 shall we?

Seems like a good time to point out that the official fraud rate for PIP (the disability benefit) in 2024 was ZERO!! PIP has the lowest fraud rate of any benefit. So... why are Labour trying to push more disabled people off PIP???!!!

364 MPs voted against holding another 10 year inquiry, into something that already had an inquiry into it, which released its results 4 years ago and was completely ignored, by the people who are currently calling for another inquiry.

I & ⁦@MaggieOliverUK⁩ agree - what’s the point of a costly & lengthy national inquiry when previous inquiries haven’t been implemented, even in part? Local independent inquiries with survivor voices are the best way of proceeding with urgency theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/j…

For those who were asleep at the back: - the overwhelming majority of farmers will be unaffected by the proposed changes to Inheritance Tax - those complaining about it are the multi-millionaires who saw investing in farmland as an excellent tax avoidance measure.

@anon_opin Yes to both! Kitkats in foil wrappers and m&m’s in paper packets were also way better and should be brought back.

Factcheck: Maternity pay has existed since 1911 & is essential for women to make informed, supported reproductive choices. It is also currently at a level where 71% of women worry 'a lot' about money during maternity leave and 35% of new mothers skip meals to afford to live.
Jessica Elgot@jessicaelgot

NEW - Kemi Badenoch tells Times Radio that maternity pay has "gone too far." “We need to have more personal responsibility. There was a time when there wasn’t any maternity pay and people were having more babies.”

@PaulaMc007 I am so grateful they have. One of the senco’s once said to me that the system is set up to fail children and YP like my daughter, not just because of their needs but because the expectation on parents to fight for it, when often they have their own needs.
