Last week we shared news of Safi, a baby who has benefitted from being part of the Generation Study. Shortly after being born she was diagnosed with isolated growth hormone deficiency (IGHD) and was able to start treatment early. Read Safi's story: ow.ly/s4st50YrK3B

I had the pleasure of attending the International Women’s Day 2026 event hosted by St George’s, University of London – School of Health & Medical Sciences today. I was incredibly honoured to be recognised as Extraordinary Woman of the Year – Academics. I’m very grateful for the recognition and thankful to be part of such a supportive and inspiring community. Congratulations as well to Kerren Churcher, who was recognised as Extraordinary Woman of the Year – Professional Services. It was a fantastic event and truly inspiring to hear from such wonderful speakers, including @GeetaNargund , and to learn more about the important work being done by organisations such as the Red Ribbon Living Well Project. Thank you to Michelle Ellis and the team for organising such a meaningful and engaging celebration of women’s contributions. @CityStG_Health @CityStGeorges #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2026 #WomenInAcademia #GiveToGain

What a summer! Great work by our medical student colleague Vicky illuminating how we should communicate risk....100 icon arrays seems to be both understood and preferred. So much more to learn but we're off to a great start! Thanks @Options_Study obgyn.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/14…

Flow Facts No.1 🩸: Yes, you can exercise while on your period! Not only is it safe to do, exercise can actually help with period pain, feeling low and other symptoms by boosting blood flow and endorphins (the happy hormones). You may not feel like doing high intensity exercise while on your period, and that's okay! It doesn't have to be strenuous, and it should definitely be something you enjoy doing - try out activities like walking, light cardio and gentle strength training. #Periods #PeriodHealth #PeriodPain

Through the Uncertainty, Together 🤝 Childbirth can bring fear, doubt, and overwhelming emotion — especially when the path isn’t straightforward. 🤍 In messages from several families, one theme echoed clearly: Reassurance matters. 🌿 I’m deeply moved by the trust so many patients placed in me during their most vulnerable moments. To be a calm presence through uncertainty is a privilege I never take lightly. 👩‍⚕️✨ Emotional wellbeing is just as essential as physical care — which is why I’m proud to support the work of the Society for Reproductive and Infant Psychology (SRIP), an international organisation and charity championing the psychological health of parents, babies, and families. 🧠👶 Find out more Here: srip.org #ThroughTheUncertaintyTogether #AsmaKhalil #MFM #HighRiskPregnancy #CompassionateCare #WomensHealth #SRIP #ReproductivePsychology #PerinatalMentalHealth #PatientVoices
