#LestWeForgetIndia 🇮🇳 27 years of #Kargil TWENTY-SEVEN YEARS ago, #OnThisDay 15 May 1999, a patrol of 4 JAT led by Captain Saurabh Kalia, along with Sepoys Arjun Ram Baswana, Bhanwar Lal Bagaria, Bhikha Ram Moondh, Moola Ram Bidiyasar, and Naresh Singh Sinsinwar, went missing during a reconnaissance mission at Point 5299 (Bajrang Post) in Kaksar Sector, Kargil It was unknown at the time was that these six brave hearts had been captured alive by the Pakistani Army. What followed remains one of the most inhumane war crimes in modern military history. When their mutilated mortal remains were returned to the Indian Army on 09 June 1999, the truth of the torture and brutality they endured sent shockwaves across the country. Today, we salute the indomitable courage of Captain Kalia and his men — the first Indian patrol to confront the enemy in Kargil — and remember their supreme sacrifice with solemn pride and unyielding resolve.
