I am getting seriously tired of being CONSTANTLY told on here what run down third world disaster Germany is, predominantly by people either sitting in some Asian slum or American trailer park. The propaganda accounts and engagement farmers on Twitter are not general reality and this goes for all of Europe. There are issues everywhere in the world but the country/its predecessors did exist and thrive already for hundreds of years before some random Italian even shat in his diapers, let alone did sail west across the Atlantic. This whole platform is flooded with videos of the worst parts filmed at the worst times and deliberately so for engagement. This is what the vast majority of the country actually looks like bitches. Lou Gehrig playing with ALS until his body said “no more.” Dave Dravecky pitching so hard that his arm had to be amputated. Kirk Gibson hobbling to the plate in the 9th. Tiger Woods winning the US Open on a knee that days later required reconstructive surgery. Kerri Strug sticking the landing on her busted ankle for the gold. Sure, we have our LeBron Jameses acting like little babies, but the one thing I learned about futbol during the World Cup is that acting like a little injured baby is not only not frowned upon, it is ENCOURAGED as a strategic advantage. Americans want stoic heroes who persevere through pain. Soccer ain’t that, at least not in the day-to-day elements of the game. That’s why soccer will never be anything other than second-rate in the USA.

ZDF Skandal Nr X Als ehemaliges Mitglied der ZDF Chefredaktion (1988-1990 heute journal, tele illustrierte, Landesstudio Niedersachsen) war ich gestern Abend empört: Der ZDF Live-Reporter Oliver Schmidt musste mir und den Zuschauer unbedingt mehrfach mitteilen was er von Trump, Infantino ("Lakai von Trump"), der FIFA hält: gar nichts. Mehrere Beleidigungen und Reinreden, auch in der Ansprache von Tom Cruise, die man so nicht mehr verstehen konnte. Dort zugunsten iranischer Fussballfunktionäre, die natürlich Mullah-ausgewählt wurden und nach Morddrohungen Irans gegen Trump aus Sicherheitsbedenken nicht in die USA einreisen durften. Nachvollziehbar oder nicht nach München 1972, Herr Schmidt? Dieses woke profilierungssüchtige Trump-Bashing und Politik hat bei Live-Sport-Kommentaren im ZDF gar nichts zu suchen. Wieder ein Manipulations-Skandal mehr im ZDF. Dem Intendanten und den Redakteuren sind wir Zuschauer egal geworden. Bei meinem ZDF Intendanten Dieter Stolte einfach undenkbar. Widerspricht dem Programmauftrag. Wird das ZDF eine woke-rote "Aktuelle Kamera" wie damals in der DDR? ZDF im Abseits. Was machen die Mitglieder im Fernsehrat oder die Medienbeauftragten der Staatskanzleien eigentlich? Schweigen, Sitzungsgeld, sonst gar nichts. Ich brauche von so einem Wirrkopf keine Belehrungen, sondern will Fussball sehen. Ich kenne Amerika besser als dieser Wichtigtuer. Im Spiegel lässt er vorab politisch verkünden: "Die Liebe zum Sport ist am Ende doch größer als die Abneigung gegen das Geschäft." Auch verlogen: denn in den Pausen machte das ZDF selber Millionen Kasse mit TV Werbung- pervers. Und zahlen sich zudem fette Gehälter und Pensionen in die eigene Tasche von unseren Gebühren- aus "Liebe zum Sport" ? Eine ZDF Reporterin interviewte live junge Spanier der deutschen Schule aus Madrid auf der Tribüne : "Wir haben 60 Dollar bezahlt." Achso geht auch. Was bezahlte ich bei Top-Spielen in Europa? Im übrigen eine tolle WM-Show, die den Fussball würdigte und in den USA und weltweit noch populärer machte. Eine klasse WM an der erstmals zehn kleine Länder teilnehnen durften. Darüber im ZDF kein positives Wort: Kap Verde, Curacao, Haiti, Panama, Jordanien, Usbekistan, DR Kongo, Irak, Katar, Neuseeland: bravo, gut gemacht Infantino!
