I mentioned yesterday that if I saw subcontractors in the trump parade yesterday, as a general contractor, I would no longer use them. Had my first chance this morning. Told a plumber we would no longer need him. God that felt good. Best part was telling him why

@dlk245 One example: the soldiers coming home from WWII. If you were white, you got the GI Bill, & maybe went to college. If you were black, you got nothing. No college, no chance to move up socioeconomically. You could get a job like bus driver or janitor.

I knew reading comprehension is poor in the US but apparently hearing too.

In last 24 hrs there've been prominent US voices calling for a stop to social distancing, citing rationale that they're worse than impact of COVID itself. It’s worth looking very closely at that claim, where we are in US COVID epidemic and what happens if we stop. 1/x
