A lot of y’all are saying it’s not the same issue, but that’s beside the point. It’s still shows how Black women are treated by Hollywood. They think that they are supposed to take whatever they give, even if it’s already in contract. And that proves Monique’s point.

New Orleans elected a Black man, but the governor eliminated his position, denying him a seat. Where have we seen this before? In November 1868, John Willis Menard became the first Black person elected to the U.S. House of Representatives winning Louisiana’s 2nd Congressional District. White people prevented him from taking office. The only Black governor of Louisiana, P.B.S.. Pinchback, was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1873 but was denied his seat.

Everybody say they want more. More of an offensive role. More shots. More touches. But don't know what come with it. "To be able to play against all types of defenses and adjust on the fly is something that is a skill. Something that I've got to get better at." Very mature outlook from the 22-year-old Smith on the reality of the responsibility that needs to come with guys wanting bigger roles.

Very disappointed that Lt. Governor Evette’s invite to speak at SC State University’s commencement was withdrawn. Pam is the Lt. Governor of our great state and the idea that her speech would have been anything less than inspiring to these graduates and their families is based in a close-minded, woke ideology. When it comes to applying pressure, liberals seem to have no boundaries. To those who give in, believe it or not, it will create consequences over time.   The sooner we break from the wokeness that permeates our society — especially in higher education and at a great school like SC State — the better.
