Safe ATS formatting: single column, standard fonts (Arial, Calibri), plain-text section headers (“Experience,” “Education”), no graphics, saved as .docx or a simple PDF. Screenshot this before your next application. Simple beats creative every time a machine reads it first.

An ATS cannot reliably read: tables, text boxes, headers/footers, multi-column layouts, images and icons, or complex PDF formatting with nested objects and embedded graphics. If your resume uses any of these, parts of it may be getting dropped before a human ever sees it.

@Kawsar_Ai Completely agree. Most resumes tell recruiters what someone was responsible for, not what they actually achieved. One thing I'd add: tailor your resume to each role. Even a strong resume performs better when it reflects the exact skills and keywords the employer is looking for.
