@dajosc11 I think she can. Look at Toni & Ricochet when they came in. AEW helped them rediscover their love for wrestling again. I think the same could happen with Kairi, especially if they give her something to do right away.

As others have alluded to, and I’m putting it as nice as possible, she’s seemed to be in a different stage of her career than pre-2020 Kairi. I’d sign her because she rocks and everyone loves her. But in-ring there’s a high upside if she can find herself between the ropes again.

Alright, Whether she is or is not still the woman that she was on that night in Cali 3 years ago when she went toe to toe with Mercedes at Battle in the Valley, there is absolutely money in tapping into that from a presentation and marketing standpoint and bringing her to AEW if you are Tony Khan. She’s a proven weekly U.S. wrestling TV act, and has actually gotten over in that context. She and Asuka were by leaps and bounds the best performers in a successful program with Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky. Out of all of WWE’s releases today, Hojo projects the most as a should-sign star if you’re AEW and want to add some punch to the top of your women’s division. Immediate PPV matches with Mercedes, Bayne, Hayter, Thekla.
