Back in the late ‘70s we got our Star Wars fix any way we could get it- no matter the source. So if sitting through an episode of the Donnie and Marie variety show on September 23rd, 1977 was the only way I could again see Chewbacca, the droids and stormtroopers than so be it.

Moby Dick was one half of a one season show, sharing screen time with the caveman superhero The Mighty Mightor. After its 1967 run it was pretty rare to come across on TV.

The Saturday afternoon line-up on #metvtoons is fantastic! Watching now - 1967’s MOBY DICK & THE MIGHTY MIGHTOR. Might even break out the Crayolas for this one.

Added this DVD to my collection inventory on ReelSwap.net - apparently I’m the first one to do so. Again.

Using ReelSwap.net to inventory my physical media. First item added - a vintage VHS rental copy of ISHTAR because, well, why not? I uploaded pix of all the sides of the case to the site and it generates a 3D object of the case. Neat! #physicalmedia #vhs #reelswap

This is what the 1985 Superbowl halftime performance was. We looked up.

@happybell30 Yes, MicroMan looks very much like 1970s movie star, George Hamilton.

@88DreadGT Joe Sedelmaier was the man who made this commercial and a slew of others through the 1970s and 1980s. He passed away recently. The fast-talking man in this commercial and the Micro-Machine commercials was John Moschitta Jr. He’s still with us. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Mosc…

@RetroArtBlog Remember this commercial like it was yesterday! I also loved his Micro Machines commercials even though I had no desire to buy them

FFF GI Joe Chronology
Late in the G.I. JOE ADVENTURE TEAM toy line, Hasbro began adding more characters to turn it into more of a super hero team. They first added the Atomic Man figure, then 50 years ago they introduced a real super hero - Bulletman, The Human Bullet! #GIJoe
