@SongbirdPro @zcichy Never before honestly but there are 2 regulators inside the jag cd and people are notorious for inserting wrong polarity PSU to both that and the base Jaguar unit, wonder if that happened and fried one?

@RetroJeff83 @zcichy I have a Jag CD unit which doesn't power up at all. Guessing something is wrong either with the power circuit, or maybe the CD BIOS EPROM itself. Have you seen complete power failures on the ones you've worked on?

I think the idea that the Atari Jaguar CD was fragile and failure prone was blown out of proportion. Most everything people think they know about it came from misinformed YouTube videos from over a decade ago.

@zcichy Look forward to it! Many of my most anticipated cores haven’t hit update all yet I don’t think like 3DO, Jaguar, CDI etc Exciting times! I have a virtual tap in my VB and can play on tv but would welcome a core for sure

@RetroJeff83 Last rbf was a solid start, but still rough. Apparently the new one has major speed improvements. Going to try it when I get home.

Apparently there is a better, faster Virtual Boy core now available for the MisterFPGA 👀

@zcichy I’m on that discord but that explains it, I don’t add cores until they are fully released on update_all so probably why if it’s a beta / early core! Cool to know!
