A generation ago, Poland rationed sugar and flour while its citizens were paid one-tenth what West Germans earned. Today its economy has edged past Switzerland to become the world’s 20th largest with over $1 trillion in annual output. nbcnews.com/business/econo…

From the 3.0 livestream, I think the biggest lore drop is that Lahai-Roi is trying to revive the Exostrider to fight the region's Threnodian. This kind of goes in line with a theory I've had a while, and that is that EVERY story arc in WuWa has been trying to provide an answer to the 'Divinity Question': How can humanity navigate and coexist with beings, concepts and events that are beyond, and above them? This can be the Lament, Sentinels, and of course, Threnodians. Jinzhou answered this question with a Confucian mentality that emphasised prosperity, harmony and order. Jue emphasises order in society and Confucian design and language of social harmony, especially amidst war and conflict, is littered all over 1.x's characters and story. Rinascita answered this question with a Renaissance Humanist mentality. People have had belief in divinity since 'time eternal'- but what happens when events happen that shake this belief? What will happen when gods erode and decline, and humans must adapt to an increasingly human-centric world, similar to Rinascita after 2.7? And I think Lahai-Roi will answer their 'divinity question' with an Enlightenment mentality. In cultural history, the Enlightenment was a movement that came straight after the Renaissance and emphasised science (many people consider modern science to ahve been 'born' in this era) and the idolisation of the pursuit of human knowledge. Importantly, the Enlightenment was when religion and the 'divine' became increasingly weaker and culture secular in the aftermath of Renaissance humanism. This isn't to say RELIGION WAS DEAD; only that it became to be seen more critically, logically, and was increasingly culturally privatised. It was an era when people were reconsidering their connection with God. Now, consider Lahai-Roi: 1) Biblical reference to 'Lahai-Roi', which alludes to themes like connection to God/divinity 2) Scientific, Enlightenment knowledge-driven design language of Lahai-Roi 3) Promethean and Icarus-esque coded attitudes in dripmarketing, suggesting both the glory of human ambition and it's cost (e.g. "the universe has rejected us", "we are the fire chasers" + all the stuff that came up in 3.0 live stream) 4) Confirmed now that the Exostrider, is essentially an artificial, 'Sentinel-replacement', being as I guessed, manufactured divinity. The reason why the Exostrider being meant to fight the Threnodian is big is because it is human ambition in manufacturing divinity, which has always led to immense pushback in theology (e.g. Babel), hence perhaps why "the universe has rejected us" which we heard in Honami in 2.8. But symbolically, everything about how "we must move past reliance" makes much more sense. In line with Enlightenment attitudes, there is no Sentinel, no 'god'. Only the pursuit of human knowledge and advancement can push forward and fight back against the Threnodian. This is not to mean that the people of Lahai-Roi dislike Sentinels, just like how Enlightenment thinkers didn't hate God. But God is no longer with us. The connection is broken. 'Lahai Roi', the 'one who sees me', casts their gaze to us no more. And in this frostland that still feels the crush of the Threnodian, will human ambition prevail or will it be punished by the fate and the divine?

I can already see the romance-bait posts

mfs will see a gorgeous ultimate animation and still complain

Microsoft admits File Explorer is slow in Windows 11, and it’s going to preload it in the background to help improve launch performance. “This shouldn’t be visible to you, outside of File Explorer hopefully launching faster when you need to use it,” Microsoft confirmed. If you don’t want Windows 11 to preload File Explorer, you can uncheck the option called “Enable window preloading for faster launch times” in File Explorer’s Folder Options under View. File Explorer is still snappy on Windows 10, but the modernized Windows 11 version also brought slower performance. This change is rolling out to Windows Insiders.

Plasma is better in colour! Watch one of our latest #plasma pulses in our ST40 tokamak, filmed using our new high-speed colour camera at an incredible 16,000 frames per second. Each pulse lasts around a fifth of a second. What you’re seeing is mostly visible light from the plasma’s edge, glowing pink. The core is simply too hot to emit visible light. In this footage, lithium is dropped into the plasma. As it interacts, it glows red when excited, then turns green as it becomes ionised, losing an electron. From there, it traces the magnetic field lines, revealing the plasma’s path around the tokamak. Lithium is the focus of our $52 million ST40 upgrade programme, in partnership with @ENERGY and @energygovuk. This builds on pioneering work at @PPPLab and others that has shown that lithium can significantly improve plasma performance. This video comes from ongoing research into X-point radiator (XPR) regimes, a promising operating mode for future #fusion power plants that aims to cool the plasma before it reaches plasma-facing components (PFCs), helping to reduce wear without compromising performance. Fusion research just got a lot more colourful! 👇 tokamakenergy.com/2025/10/15/see… #Fusion #FusionEnergy #EnergyTransition #Innovation
