@TheJupitersays Saving church buildings is not saving churches. The buildings are often the reason why the local church is at risk, because far too much time, energy and money goes into maintaining the building leaving little for mission and ministry.

@PatrologyVotary As an ordained female, I don’t share your view but I do respect it. Could you find a confirmation service that is being conducted by a male Bishop in your area and request to be confirmed there.

Things have progressed. I have been attending a Church of England parish, and the priest is keen on getting me baptised soon. However, there is a problem because my confirmation would be performed by a female bishop. I am going to be having frank discussions with the priest soon.

Have had some great fun smashing eggs, plunging my arm into chicken manure & making edible Easter gardens this week, as well as hearing some great singing. The privilege of ministry in schools & sharing the Easter message with young people. Now time to concentrate on Holy Week.

@alexdjfrost @synod @churchofengland Can’t believe how long Synod spent on something that is not practical or enforceable in the parish, when there so many things that are more relevant in the world.

Think of a world @synod without any flowers @churchofengland think of a world without any trees. Think of a world without Palestinians think of a world without any peace!

@Rgt71Robert The opportunity to spend time in school is a great privilege & a high light of my week. Some weeks I do 3 CW’s and it is great fun. Often find the non- church schools are looking for more Christian input than the church ones. They want Bible stories & prayers.

Absolutely right. There is should be no compulsion in Christian worship. 👍👏🏼

@thevicarswife Only if younger people come forward, most of the people who do flowers are over 70. Not even sure some of the churches will still be open!

@RevDarleen So lovely to hear of many flowers. Do you think there will be flowers in 10 years? Ours stood down with no replacements....

Doing some research for General Synod: Does your church have any volunteer flower arrangers? If you do, please comment about how often you have flower arrangements. We have no flower arrangers, and I suspect that this is an increasing phenomenon.

I would be perfectly happy if an anathema were declared against any hymn written by John Bell, with the threat of immediate excommunication for an organist who chooses them for worship.

Come and join us at Crostwight Church at 2pm on Sunday 28th December for a service of Carols and readings to celebrate the Christmas Season. Crostwight church is a unique church in the middle of a field and accessed on foot, with amazingly well preserved wall paintings.

Honing Church was packed for the Crib Service this evening.

Have had the privilege of watching two Nativity plays today. Both were fantastic and the children and staff were great. Well done East Ruston Infant school and Nursery this morning and The Stables school this afternoon.

This coming Sunday after the Yule Tide Market come and sing Carols in St Mary’s and enjoy the Christmas trees before the tree festival ends.

We have a large bouncy Snow Globe in St Mary’s Stalham!

@TaylorLoy She needs to spend some time in parish ministry to get an understand of what being a parish priest trying to juggle multiple parishes and difficult PCC’s is really about.

@MichaelSadgrove @CovCathedral @BishopMark1 It always reminds me with a smile of the typo in the Oak Hill College hymn book that read “ Be still for the presence of the Lord the Holy one is her”. Couldn’t be more ironic!

Sang “Be still for the presence of the Lord” at church this morning. Always reminds me of the first ordination of female priests at @CovCathedral in May 1994. Unforgettable and profoundly moving. @BishopMark1 will remember.
