@Jacob_A_Webb @jeretics @SEdburg @PolityMatters 2. In the month between now and General Assembly commissioners will have over 1000 pages to review. Adding nearly 300 more pages so they can make an informed consideration, on top of being pastors, elders, fathers, and sons seems unreasonable.

@sdesocio Also few teams are mobilized within 72 hours of a disaster. Usually there is an assessment team and advice to immediate churches, but most teams are told to wait until things are safe, secured, and work is set up.

Here are some - We want to mobilize X number of teams within 72 hours. - We want to make sure that only Y% of disaster response funds are spent on administration - we want to train Z number of new teams each year and make sure that every existing team is up to date with state agencies as needed.

This report only enhances the concerns I have had about the direction and focus of MNA.

@sdesocio How do you mobilize teams to non existent disasters? MNA DR doesn't train teams according to state agency guidelines?

@thebocollins It doesn't apply to planters and planting networks. I called and asked.

@RevIanHard "Ministry leaders now submit outcome-based budgets that explain what they intend to accomplish and the cost to do so." That seems directed at church planters, no? FWIW, I look forward to clarity about the DR fund transfers.

@thebocollins And to whatever extent you're right about serial planting, presbyteries have hurt themselves in going along with it and not providing sufficient oversight. I think another denominational entity is guilty of the same.

@RevIanHard I take it differently. MNA’s vision was vulnerable to serial church planter types who are rewarded for starting new PCA franchises at the cost of shepherding. Asking TE’s to pastor churches instead of “planting churches” is a good thing.

@JamminChad Paul was pointing to the outcomes accomplished by Christ. He was not using Church Growth Movement principles to determine budgetary allocations. There's a big difference between noses and nickels versus trusting God to bring about the desired outcome from faithful service.

@RevIanHard Emphasizing the outcomes can be a really good thing. Take Paul's focus on the end in mind, despite his suffering. It actually enabled healthy prayer and faithfulness in his ministry.

@Fozzybear_Lives "Only enhances" means, it corroborates/sharpens what I already thought. Confirms what pre-existed. I don't have confidential information. But if I did I am not obliged to share any more than SJC is obliged to share the minutes of trial that back up their public judgment.

@RevIanHard It is a short report intended for a quick read, not a full accounting of their work. You’re making prejudicial judgments in the absence of sufficient information.

@Fozzybear_Lives I have concerns about how the resources are being managed now. The report seems primarily focused on finances not prayer. I am not saying that MNA doesn't care about prayer at all.

@RevIanHard Faithfulness includes how the Lord’s resources are managed. And you’re assuming a lot here… including a lack of emphasis on prayer.

@sdesocio How do you outcome base Disaster Response? We budget responding to 10 natural disasters. Whelp there were only 4 so way to not meet your objectives.

@RevIanHard Ian some of those are just steps organizations need to take for the sake of focus. And shouldn’t we be focused on outcomes? Can’t such outcomes represent shrewd obedience to Christ?

@CWadeBaker I didn't say he said people were the ground clutter. I am saying they are those affected by the decision making and actions taken in the recent months are being treated as such.

@RevIanHard Some of this is not the most charitable read of this report brother. Where did he say or even indicate that “people” were the “ground clutter” referenced in the first paragraph?

7. Insinuation that those who don't widely share donor sources (which they developed and fostered) is somehow harmful to MNA.

6. People run over by the bus of MNA's new leadership are not "ground clutter."
