@campbellclaret Or he made some blue jokes which are horrific to the established class and wouldn't even be noticed by most ordinary people up north. He's a plumber, not a monk.

Imagine if a candidate of any other party was found to have deleted an account with so many disgustingly offensive posts. I suspect we will hear very little of this as the Double Standards Squad continue to ply their trade to the benefit of the 5 million pound man

Trump & Vance need to stop meddling in British politics and fix their own country. Here’s a message back from the UK: we don’t want your division, conspiracy politics or MAGA culture wars. And we don’t want unarmed civilians shot in our streets. Britain is better than that.

@MichaelLCrick It's not tasteful but you've clearly never been in a northern pub. I want ordinary people to get involved in politics, warts n all. The language of the masses is so different to the acceptable to the establishment. Vetting yes, but blue jokes shouldn't bar you from office..

If this is all true, then Robert Kenyon, the Reform candidate in Makerfield, in clearly bonkers & deeply unpleasant, and it's no wonder he was Facebook friends with the self-declared fascist Gary Raikes. Reform's vetting processes seem about as effective as a chocolate teapot.

Extraordinary! If this is true it would be a huge humiliation for Reform and Farage personally. Kruger was one of their biggest catches, a proper ideological defector, not just a random councillor. Losing him back so quickly (less than a year) would fuel the “Reform is a chaotic protest vehicle, not a serious party” story even more. It also highlights the fragility of Reform’s current momentum: strong polling and local wins are impressive, but they’re still built on personality and protest energy rather than deep institutional loyalty. One big donor scandal and key figures start eyeing the exits.
RS Archer@archer_rs

Strong rumour that former Conservative MP Danny Kruger who defected to Reform Party Ltd in September last year may well be returning to the Conservatives after expressing his unhappiness with Farage's financial affairs. Negotiations are apparently ongoing.

@CarrieAHarper @Plaid_Cymru Wales and Scotland are not historical equivalents, you know this! NI has different powers to each of you, each part is different. Should Yorkshire have devolved power too? Let's stop splitting things up and start working better together.

@danny__kruger Well said Danny. What you stand for is why so many Christians are excited about Reform. We know Nigel isn't Jesus (we're not totally daft lol) but the values you so brilliantly espouse need a strong platform like Reform UK.

Tomorrow the PCS civil servants’ union is debating a motion to ‘counter a hostile Reform government’ with ‘sustained industrial action’: they are planning to go on strike if we win. This is Reform’s response. Any civil servant who seeks to undermine ministerial authority and the impartiality of the Civil Service through unlawful strike action will no longer have a job to return to. The Civil Service exists to implement the will of the government of the day. Its staff must do what duly-elected ministers ask them to do, within the law - or leave. By publicly confirming the reason for future industrial action as opposition to a specific ‘hostile’ government, the PCS have ensured their strikes cannot be considered a ‘trade dispute’ and would be unprotected and unlawful. Under section 12.1.21 of the CSMC, no appeals to the Civil Service Appeal Board will be possible in this situation. As the Shadow Home Secretary already set out, pension entitlements and any entitlement to redundancy pay may also be lost. Those who do choose to strike because, like the PCS, they disagree with the democratic decision of the British people are not only taking part in unlawful industrial action but are also in breach of the Terms & Conditions of their employment, specifically section 4.1.3 (b) of the Civil Service Management Code (CSMC): “civil servants must not take part in any political or public activity which compromises, or might be seen to compromise, their impartial service to the Government of the day or any future Government”. The fact is under a Reform UK government the Civil Service will be a much better workplace than it is today. Our plans will deliver a smaller and more highly skilled Civil Service where good work is rewarded and officials are able to make a real difference to people’s lives. A union that prioritised its own members would recognise that our agenda will be the most pro-worker in recent political history. We’re happy to work with any fair-minded trade union to develop policies to support workers. But, if the PCS don’t wish to engage reasonably they should know that we will turn their anti-democratic motion into a resounding win for a Reform UK government, the taxpayer, and the British people.

🚨 🚨 ‼️ 🔥 Channel 4 has uncovered that Nigel Farage has a county court judgment against him for almost £10,000. A Reform UK spokesperson confirmed Farage was unaware of the judgment until Channel 4 brought it to his attention. 🔥 Another financial embarrassment layered on top of £5m Thai crypto donor saga, the £1.4m cash house questions, the shifting explanations, and the Parliamentary Standards inquiry. This is the package. Dodgy money, dodgy judgments, zero transparency. #ReformUK

Reform UK's #Makerfield candidate Robert Kenyon has some pretty suspect friends. Take Steve Jones who seconded him when he stood for Wigan Council. In 2017, Jones was convicted of drink-driving and cautioned for common assault. In 2022 he was convicted of ABH - a case of domestic violence.

Pro Andy Burnham tactical voting? In today's exclusive Sky-YouGov poll, it's striking just how much a difference Burnham seems to make. In this week's voting intention poll, Labour are 8 points behind Reform. But asked who you want to win in Makerfield - where the poll names Andy Burnham as the Labour candidate - Labour is ahead by 8 points. And amongst Northern voters, Labour is ahead by 16 points. Why? Look at this tactical voting / support switching. Amongst those who want Burnham to win Makerfield include: 16% current Tories 46% current Lib Dems 6% current Reform UK and 35% current Greens All of these say if there were an election tomorrow, they want another party to win but want a Burnham victory in Makerfield
