Former Speaker Paul Ryan speaks out against Donald Trump: “Trump’s not a conservative, he’s an authoritarian narcissist…he’s a populist authoritarian narcissist.”  Ryan also said many Republicans in Congress are likely regretting that they didn’t stand up to Trump’s effort to overturn the 2020 election and didn’t vote to impeach or convict him on impeachment charges when they had the chance to end his political career.   “I think there are a lot of people who already regret not getting him out of the way when they could have,” he said. He also said that “history will be kind” to Trump critics such as Cheney and Kinzinger. Do you agree?

UPDATE: Kate Cox, the woman that Texas AG Ken Paxton has refused to allow get an abortion, has fled Texas. I stand with Kate Cox! Do you? How can anyone be against this woman's right to get an abortion. Backstory: Her fetus, which is under 20 weeks, was found to have trisomy 18, a fatal diagnosis. She then sought to terminate the pregnancy to protect her health and future fertility. A district judge granted the request but Paxton sought a stay, which paused her ability to get an immediate abortion. You have to be a completely evil person if you are preventing her from getting an abortion for political gain. Ken Paxton should be ashamed of himself.

NEW: Kate Cox, the woman who was denied an emergency abortion by the Texas Supreme Court, has been forced to flee Texas: "After a week of legal whiplash and threats of prosecution from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, our client Kate Cox has been forced to flee her home state of Texas to get the time-sensitive abortion care needed to protect her health and future fertility." Center for Reproductive Rights announced on Twitter. Whatever your position on abortion is, this is not acceptable.

It’s official. Just took the oath to run for Congress and I look forward to meeting everyone throughout the 20th Congressional District!
