The only way to win audiences is to tell people about the life and death of Christ. Every other approach is a waste.

@ALucieSmith He would tell you to throw away the robes, stop playing pantomime, and go out to the people and help them.

What would Our Blessed Lord say to lovers of the traditional Latin Mass, I wonder?

Before I was Catholic, I was willing to believe in the dogma of the Immaculate Conception because I trust the Church. I still trust the Church, but also, now I think the dogma is just overwhelmingly, obviously true.

@srkjan1980 Oh, what a bunch of malarkey. You can’t expect people to take you seriously when you say stuff like this.

Like the crowds in Jesus’ time, many of our neighbors in the world today would agree that Jesus was an important historical figure — a prophet, a moral teacher with a lot of wisdom. Those are all true, but we cannot stop there. Jesus is something greater than that.

Father Bourmand, who refused to hide in a comfy rectory during the lockdowns & instead doubled up on liturgies, traveled non-stop & continued to offer the sacraments to the faithful, even offering extreme unction to those sick with COVID. He died from COVID, a hero, last week.

@starz_127 @Sachinettiyil Thank you. It was probably people like you that did it. And while we’re exchanging empty platitudes, I’m sorry that you’re wasting your life trying to please an imaginary friend.

Friends, everything in life comes down to faith. And we do not have faith in just an ‘idea.’ We have faith in a person — a personal God who loves each one of us with a personal love.

Today let us trust in the love of God. Completely. Let us go to Jesus with confidence, giving ourselves totally over to him.

@friel_raymond To have faith means to believe in something where you don’t have evidence. Nothing to be proud of.

“To have faith is just to know that the ultimately true thing about you, the deepest irreducible fact about you, is that you are loved. This is what Christians mean by believing in God.” Herbert McCabe #sundayvibes
