@marksbury @jondelarroz You might be right. I like those movies, but they may have opened the door for something worse. Theres still time to scrap all that shit and make something better. Maybe something focused on non federation colonies. I dunno. They keep wanting to shift the era drastically instead.

@jondelarroz I enjoyed it overall, but this was the beginning of the end. The visuals were great and the acting was good, but the plot was subpar and it lacked the internal logic of the ST universe. It was successful, and that taught producers that people want fancy visuals over substance.

Now that we have a full on destruction of Star Trek on every level, what do we think of the 2009 Kelvin Timeline?

@ScottApogee @TheCinesthetic I like the JJ Abrams movies. Mirror universes weren't overplayed yet, and I think it worked well. It's kinda where I draw the line for the franchise though. Haven't been particularly interested in anything shown since.

Before J.J. Abrams took over, Paramount reviewed over a dozen scripts for a new Star Trek. Some focused on young Kirk and Spock, others on events after Nemesis. Abrams was chosen to reinvent the saga, not just resurrect it, and he absolutely succeeded.

There are two different endings to Army of Darkness. This is one of them. I suppose you'd have to own the blu-ray and look for "Extras" to see both.

@pagb666 @NVIDIAGeForce Yah, this is stupid. If the game was designed with it mind, trained on production renders and such, maybe? But just kneecapping the art direction in hardware is lame. It's not even the same as a guided effort like graphics mods, it's just a "make soulless" button.

@L1nko64 I'm going to fill the ditch with barbed wire on either end... Having a lot of fun with this game though. First battle I was in might've been the most hectic match I've ever played in a game.

@RevaeRavus The concrete blocks in triangles are proper banging for pushing up, death holes I'll make a ditch under a blind spot, people just jump in and youve got your sandbag with a peep whole built infront it then boom, I did similar with that battle bit game that was popping while back

Over the Top is good. You can dig trenches and get hit by a plane.

@L1nko64 Interesting... I've mostly been picking engineer to dig mini-bases near capture points, giving a well defended point of attack. Once one is established I move to the other side of the map and start another for another capture point. Teach me your death trap ways.
