@AnglianCom That’s not satisfactory ! In the event of two teams coming down the league should have the flexibility to operate with 17 teams in the senior divisions It might mean starting the season a week earlier to accommodate the extra games but that is better than what just happened

Unfortunately, under the current rules of the National FA pyramid system, this is not possible. A club wishing to take voluntary relegation from the pyramid system will automatically drop two levels into a feeder league (which the Anglian Combination is). A club operating at Step 6 of the pyramid system and subsequently relegated on Non-League lateral movement day automatically drops into the top division of the relevant/most appropriate feeder league. The FA issued the constitution for Steps 2–6 of the pyramid system on 15 May; this was the first indication the league had of two teams dropping down, which has caused this situation. We will seek talks with Norfolk County FA over the course of the new season to discuss the situation.
