@Park_Journey @NickChaps96 It's a double edged sword. As a creator you essentially have the option to either shill to the corporations to get easy / free access to things or complain about everything to get the clicks + money needed to continue covering them.

@NickChaps96 Complaining = Clicks. Sadly it's just as simple as that. Look at the biggest sites. With very few exceptions they grew their followings on pointing out every flaw or with clickbait. There's truly only maybe 5-10 of the bigger Disney sites/YouTubers I can think of that didn't.

I do not understand the accounts on here that just bitch and moan daily about the Disney parks. If you hate the way everything is now, fine. Just stop talking about it all day everyday and stop going. The constant negativity from some people on here is just obnoxious.

I don't think people realize how cheap HK Disneyland actually is. You can stay at their deluxe hotel with 2x two-day park tickets for $175pp USD a night. For context the cheapest inside room on the Disney Adventure in the off peak is $184pp USD a night.

@omro1975 When put side-to-side I feel the white castle is undersaturated and a bit sterile. The pink castle was more whimsical. I get though that people don't really like it and I guess it's better than making a big cake for the anniversary.

@Park_Journey @lsirikul It also depends on what type of influencer you are and what platform you're on. Short form is the current flavour of the month and as a long-form YT creator we barely even get a look in from parks these days.

@lsirikul Wow, absolutely feel this in my bones. I have been covering theme parks for 25 years. Always made it about the park or event. Never wanted it to be about me. I feel so lost in this current era because it seems parks want to promote the influencer vs promoting their own product.

I don't blame influencers, but I'm pretty mad that studios and PR companies are putting them ahead of journalism outlets for coverage, even more than the mainstream media outlets. And, I'm not talking about premieres or events. I'm talking about interviews to go over the project.

@PeterSciretta @ThemeParkExpres The reason I say this is that we had a long running series where explored different attractions. It was doing great, then when we did one on the Mario Kart ride it bombed. We assume it was because YT went "this ain't gaming content get outta here".

@PeterSciretta @ThemeParkExpres I think it's to do with the algorithm and audiences. YT would see the FNAF keywords and measure that against previous FNAF video audiences. Their demographics would be wildly different to your usual ones so YT will assume that the content is irrelevant.

When rumours of a third gate at the Tokyo Disney Resort were floating around, I swear there was one piece of art that pointed towards DisneySky. It was a piece showing the multi-story design and had a very similar design to the Hyperion Cafe at DLP. Did anybody else see this?

@8_theme I regularly visited HKDL in 2015 and the stores were almost always empty. Since they brought in Duffy at 90% of the stores it's near impossible to walk around and browse comfortably. They LOVE Duffy & Friends.
