@hotboygamergirl Excellent work! The topology looks pretty clean too. No 6-star poles in sight! One thing you might run into is the knees being a bit blocky when bent, but it would be trivial to add a few support loops if it ends up being a problem.

@Fireking1099 @Aelion_UMBR It's still mostly a subdivided retopo, but I collapsed a few loops on the back of the head. I used topology more commonly used on anime-style heads for cleaner normal editing.

Can anyone who uses Substance Painter tell me why its doing this when I try to bake? Its only on this one piece of mesh, all the rest are fine.. I don't understand. I have applied all transforms, exported it out and reimported it and I am just confused why it is not expanding around the mesh but deforming itself?? What did I break D: Please help #Substance3DPainter

Also, if you're struggling to get a decent level of detail with a 2K map, maybe take a look at your UV map. UV maps should be densely packed, leaving very little space outside of UV islands. Some space between islands is important for padding/mip mapping though.

This is important. There is rarely any need for 4K/8K textures. For detailed textures in specific areas, create additional UV maps and use a decal. For large repeatable patterns, use tiled textures and masks.

Sometimes I see avatars using 4k/8k textures to add ultra-high details (textile, skin, leather), but it's rarely needed. So, here's a short thread about Secondary Maps/Details mask, which most shaders support (even Unity Standard). Example: 8192px NM | 256px tiled NM #VRChat
