Three out of the four World Cup quarter-finals will be live on ITV. ITV will show France v Morocco on Thursday (9pm kick off) and England v Norway on Saturday (10pm). ITV will also have the 2am game late on Saturday night. BBC One will show Spain v Belgium on Friday (8pm).

Footnote to England win; ongoing World Cup schedule changes meant #Eastenders again did not go out in normal 7.30pm slot on BBC1 - where it was attracting around 2m viewers - but did tx at that time on BBC3, 350k followed it there, plus another 700k+ viewers for 9pm tx on BBC2

Last night's World Cup opener between Mexico and South Africa drew in 5.7m (45.1%), peaking with 7.1m (51%). This is ITV1's highest audience this year with no programme coming close to that overnight. The match had a 55% share of males, compared to the channel's usual 18%.
