January last year I stepped on the scale and it said 54kg. I didn’t tell anyone. No tweets, no “day 1”, no accountability thread. Just me, quietly deciding I was tired of feeling heavy in my own body. Week 2 felt easy. Week 3… nothing changed. That was the first time I almost quit. It’s weird how your brain turns on you in those moments. “You’ve tried this before.” “This isn’t working.” “Just go back to normal.” I listened to that voice twice before. This time I didn’t. There were weeks I showed up and the number didn’t move. There were weekends I fell off completely. There were days I ate like the old version of me and felt like I reset everything. But somehow… over months… it moved. 54kg → 43kg → 35kg → 40kg No one really noticed. No one saw the early mornings, the small choices, the arguments in my own head. By the time people said “you’ve lost weight,” I had already fought a hundred quiet battles they’ll never understand. That’s the strange part. One of the hardest things I’ve ever done… and there’s no real record it happened. No proof of the discipline. No trace of the days I didn’t quit.
