Animal relationships are not the same as human ones.
I don't know how to describe it exactly but just because two male penguins raise an egg or two female monkeys frequently mate and cohabitate doesn't mean it's the same as humans falling in love.

I think it's really cool that gay penguins and the like exist in nature.
And I understand that bringing these up in dialogue to show that these kinds of relationships are everywhere is cool and interesting.
But at the same time...
