I was responsible for preparing the budget report for our student association's annual event, but every committee member had sent me different expense lists. Some were in spreadsheets, others were handwritten, and a few were just photos of receipts. The treasurer needed the final report before our evening meeting.
I opened WPS Office and imported all the expense records into WPS Spreadsheets. I organized the data into categories like venue, decorations, refreshments, publicity, and transportation. Using built-in formulas, I calculated the totals automatically and created a clean spending summary with pie charts showing where most of the budget had gone. Then I inserted everything into WPS Writer, added a professional cover page, and wrote a brief financial summary.
In less than two hours, the budget report was complete, well-organized, and easy to understand.
During the meeting, the treasurer projected the report on the screen, and everyone appreciated how clear the finances were. The committee approved the report without asking for any revisions.
After the meeting, another committee member asked how I had managed to organize so many receipts and calculations so quickly.
