It only makes sense. -The problem last year with Jabari Smith Jr was his minutes fluctuation. With Green and FVV, Smith had to compete for minutes with Sengun and Eason. Now with both of them gone, Smith locks himself in the starting lineup. -Ime Udoku has already said the four starters have been decided (Amen, KD, Smith, and Sengun), and he wants to build consistency in the rotation early. That means 25+ minutes every night should be the floor for Smith. -With the Thunder playing double bigs, it will be tough for KD and Sengun to rebound against Chet and Hartenstein. That’s where Jabari comes in, something he dominated last year. Against OKC when playing 20+ minutes, Smith Jr in his career has: 🥉6+ Rebounds in 10/12 games 🥈8+ Rebounds in 8/12 games 🥇10+ Rebounds in 6/12 games 🏆12+ Rebounds in 6/12 games -That’s right, Jabari Smith Jr has 13+ rebounds in nearly half of his games played vs OKC.
