Last week two Green Party candidates, Saiqa Ali and Sabine Mairey, were arrested by the Metropolitan Police. The arrests were made under the Public Order Act on suspicion of stirring up racial hatred. Do you know how many candidates from ‘right wing’ parties were arrested for stirring up racial hatred? None. If everyone on the right was racist, wouldn’t we be voting green?

Jews are victims of racist attacks on our streets Where are the anti-racist marches in solidarity with Jews? The left marches against every anti-racism EXCEPT antisemitism. SHAME! I'm urging a mass march against antisemitism. Will the left support it? theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

Imagine this was a Jewish person who wasn't left-wing or pro-Palestinian. Imagine they spoke about their Jewish identity, and the presenter said: "No, don't try that one on me!" That would be a national scandal. Not here, though! Leftwing Jews Don't Count
The Daily Britain@dailybritainonx

"Why is my Jewish identity being erased from this conversation?" asked @ZackPolanski "No.. don't try that one on me!" responded @TrevorPTweets

@ReznorBlake @LBC @lewis_goodall Good interviewing! 😂. He brings up a totally unrelated gotcha to make her look stupid for thinking something valid about Polanski. It is absolutely a straw man because he’s arguing her criticism is invalid by highlighting a more extraordinary counterexample.

'You should be disqualified for retweeting something stupid but not for giving a prestigious diplomatic post to a friend of the worst paeodphile of our age?' @lewis_goodall questions Labour's criticism of Zack Polanksi's response to the Golders Green attack.

@DanielNotDan21 @LBC @lewis_goodall As the other person in this thread said, Goodall was testing whether she was applying consistently the political standard she was espousing. And she was found wanting. You're looking for a fallacy but it was just good interviewing.

@DanielNotDan21 @LBC @lewis_goodall A strawman is when you attack a misrepresentated position rather than one's actual position. Whereas Goodall attacked her actual position. Ergo it's not a strawman. You're making this much more difficult than it is.

@KemiBadenoch Indeed we no longer live in a democracy when speech and viewpoint diversity is banned or silenced.

Graham Linehan should never have been dragged through the courts in the first place. The real scandal is a system that wastes time on litigious nonsense driven by professional activists while serious crime goes unpunished. We need to kill cancel culture. Free speech cannot survive if the process becomes the punishment. This is why I asked Toby Young to review the laws that are stifling free speech so the next Conservative government can put an end to this wasting of our resources.

@LBC @lewis_goodall I get people will lap this up because "haha Labour owned!!" but lets be frank that is a totally barefaced strawman from Goodall desperately trying to sneak in a gotcha.

Excellent from @lewis_goodall If a retweet can disqualify someone from leading a political party - nobody would qualify. Voters are going to see through this - and be reminded of Starmer’s record as PM. Labour ministers should keep saying it!

@ReznorBlake @Mark606238211 @DalrympleWill considering Corbyn resigned in 2019 and Phillips was suspended in 2020, that is not true, and he was suspended for criticising Pakistani men in relation to rape gangs. Not quite the same as Green candidates saying "Ramming a synagogue isn't antisemitism, it is revenge", now is it

I'm just so so sick of ignorant media Islamophobes in senior positions of the UK & US media viciously going after anyone that dares stand up against the slaughter and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people. Trevor Phillips notoriously got suspended from the Labour Party for Islamophobia, and you get the feeling, watching this astonishingly rude & sneary interview with @ZackPolanski, virtually the only senior British politician to show any sympathy for the Gazans, that Phillips frankly wouldn't lose a wink of sleep if every last Palestinian was erased from the face of the earth. He certainly can't see anything positive about protesting their genocide. Which raises the question: how and why did someone with such a record of toxic divisiveness ever get offered a Prime Time show in the first place?

When Jewish people speak out against genocide, why are our voices dismissed? And smirking while I describe someone Nazi-saluting at me isn’t just disrespectful - it feels deeply antisemitic. youtu.be/7VkfYJgLljE?si…

@Mark606238211 @DalrympleWill Trevor Phillips was cleared of Islamophobia and his suspension lifted, but good to see rather than accept criticism from the press, you instead go after the journalist and try to discredit him. Becoming more like Farage and Reform each day. x.com/DalrympleWill/…
