After dozens of hours of tedious work, I finally finished this colored pencil portrait of Dale Earnhardt. This is only my second attempt at a full colored pencil portrait. Let me know how it looks! #NASCAR #heylefty #drawing #art @lefty_designs @DaleJr

@DamnItdale88 @DexterFason I guess you were expecting the 2003 finish... what we got was exactly what was hyped up if you were paying attention. We got proper racing where guys weren't stuck by aero. Im not sure what else you wanted rather than a 9 win.

Most boring, predictable, garbage finish there could have been. Drivers hyped this race up just for it to be, kinda garbage tbh. Most overhyped race ever.

Almost a 100 point lead after 6 races, championship favorite Tyler Reddick. And he won’t get screwed by a pathetic championship race! Beautiful scenes! Integrity restored (kind of depending on who you ask)

@DamnItdale88 @DexterFason Ryan Blaney said in his interview this was one of the only times in his cup career he let someone go early in the run because he knew he'd catch and pass them later. It 100% match the hype the drivers set and they loved it.

@DexterFason @RheeTweet3 People didnt beg for more road courses because of chase, they begged for them because the racing was spectacular. This race was so hyped up by drivers, yet it didnt live up to even half of it.

@DamnItdale88 The winner has no relevance on the racing that was displayed. The 45 was able to drive through the field and pass cars and most importantly not lose the nose. And he wasnt the only one either. Drivers had to manage their tires and could make passes.

@RheeTweet3 My bad that I didn't enjoy reddick making the field fold like wet paper again.

@heathholmes @jeff_gluck @dennyhamlin @KyleBusch You literally said "looks like all the tire wear that was expected didnt happen" Nothing about blowing tires. The talk all week was about tire wear and fall off, not tire failure.

This race looks tough on all counts. Driving-wise, strategy-wise, pit-road wise. Winning this is going to take true excellence.

This is like the ultimate NASCAR purists' stage...well, if purists had a stage. I guess those two things don't go together. But you get what I mean.

@heathholmes @jeff_gluck @dennyhamlin @KyleBusch Couldn't be more wrong. I guess you're watching another race. Once one guy comes in they all come down pit road the next couple laps because they are falling off seconds throughout the run.

@jeff_gluck Looks like all the tire wear that was expected didn't happen. These tire engineers are too good. All it takes is one race with tire wear issues & all the crews adjust. Was hoping tire management would be at premium today after listening to @dennyhamlin & @KyleBusch , guess not.

@MattWeaverRA When the faster cars are able to get to the front and drive away, thats actually a good thing. Just because the faster cars get to the front, doesn't make it boring. It makes it pure and organic, which is what we need now more than ever. The 2003 finish didnt happen every week.

The thing some folks don't always recognize is that when you increase the power, soften tires and decrease overall downforce, that's going to spread the field out But it also creates less turbulence, easier passes, and more strategic options. But you have to watch the stopwatch.

@pritchbloc @jeff_gluck He didnt pass him because he caught him at the line lmfao, if we didnt have stages he'd be gone. Which isnt a bad thing, the best car driving from 9th to the lead and dtiv8ng away is actually a good thing.

@Dave63153898 @pritchbloc @jeff_gluck So a good race is determined solely by the distance between the cars? That would mean only good races are speedway races, or end in photo finishes. Racing is not all about the distance between the cars, it's about driver skill, and tire management. All factors add to it

@pritchbloc @jeff_gluck Reddick drove from 9th to second. He was 5 seconds back with 6 togo in the stage. You have no idea what you're talking about.

@Dave63153898 @pritchbloc @jeff_gluck Why does distance matter? The fact that cars can catch each other and not be held up is what matters. The distance between the cars doesn't matter if it's natural and not manufactured by draft.

@pritchbloc @jeff_gluck You don't like racing then. This is great, you can see them wheeling these things.
