This roadmap, updates, and the rebrand has genuinely made me feel the same awe of RuneScape I originally had when starting in middle school. No other game has been able to do that, not even RuneScape, until yesterday. I can NOT wait to see the future of this game unfold!

The animated scene of the new background + logo is so lovely. They didn't have to make it but they did and I think that reflects the level of extra care that is going into the game now. For the first time in a long time, the future of the game is bright.

@queensblade1100 It’s a quick point but I think it’s going to take some working with the community. If you go to the blogpost on the homepage it has a FAQ section talking about DXP. They currently already decided to remove the winter DXP event they hold in February

The amount of people upset that TH is getting removed from RS3 just confirms how disconnected the game & its average player has gotten from what made it great in the first place.

@Rheeeyo i just wish they would remove dxp or at the very least cut back on it. dxp has also devalued leveling in runescape. i remember getting a 99 and being happy and excited now its like oh yay another 99 onto the next skill.

@sundaymusicx I feel that as I’m a new dad. We wouldn’t feel the need to be maxed to enjoy the game if 1) we didn’t skip past everything and 2) had engaging content to get us through those levels gaps.

I agree it infringes on the core value that RuneScape was built on. But for me it revived the game and I was able to enjoy more of the game being higher level. Sure it felt a little wrong getting a few 99s but ultimately it made more of the game accessible. Otherwise I most likely wouldn’t be playing still. Some people simply do not have the time to grind and that’s a huge component

@sundaymusicx ridiculous in how much it invalidates, not only do rates, but the economy via proteans. This also influences content releases, we get afk content that levels for us. Afk croesus front is better exp than BGH, how does that make sense? This shake up is needed for rebalancing.

@sundaymusicx I’m an rs3 content creator and osrs enjoyer. Paying to speed up the process takes away the journey which has been the core value that RuneScape was built on. Purchasing bxp directly is still possible, in modern day gaming this is how it is, but treasure hunter was absolutely 1/x
