@SchuethAnna @WomenInOptics Congrats! I hope I never get bored of the joy from looking down a microscope! My favourite thing to do when new students start is show them my bacteria on a light microscope and watch their faces see living, moving science right in front of them. It's still just so cool!

Dose 2 done! Grateful to have no bad side effects so far after a brutal first dose. Either way, the temporary pain was worth it to reduce the chance of getting or spreading COVID-19. Very happy.

I am still grateful to have been able to help out during the pandemic as a scientist, and I am so incredibly proud of those I worked alongside as part of the testing effort as a whole. But what I saw tonight was unacceptable and saddening. It must be better. 5/5

Somehow this has been lost or wasn't shown or wasn't happening anymore. Focus needs to be on getting the right people with the right training doing the work properly and safely. Without the rushed targets and 'any result will do'. Where this happens is another debate. 4/n

Got told I needed to watch the #BBCPanorama episode. As someone who volunteered last Spring at the MK lab I was sad to see what happened. We were taught every sample matters, to cross check every barcode, scraping the labels off bags if needed. 1/n
