@HostShinyoku @tray790x I don't really struggle to get commissions is the thing though. People *do* want to commission me over using AI and I'm very grateful to those that do
At the same time, art is a luxury and I'm not going to devalue it just because free slop is available elsewhere

@Rhoady_Arts @tray790x You really do need to think about a marketing strategy to make people want to commission you over AI, though. There has to be something like prestige, or unique style, or maybe just making yourself much better at getting the exact art they want without hours of prompting.

If you go to an artist looking for a commission and when you ask for pricing you say “remember AI is free”
The artist has the moral right, neigh, obligation to inflate their prices
You probably aren’t gonna commission atp anyway so don’t waste our time with that disrespect

So whenever I draw Namek Ssj Goku I give him the red eyes

I had actually given the guy my prices at the start of the conversation, but he was looking for something that was a bit specific and not in any of the normal standard ranges. So it required a more specific quote, and then he threw in the thing about AI

@SenseiAnother @altaccofno1 I usually have a sheet posted with pricing when I’m actively looking for commissions
But once I’ve got a line I take it down to kinda reduce the inflow of requests to allow me to fully catch up
And then when I’m ready to take on more I post the sheet again
