Girls football skills competition 2024 / 2025 Presentation of Richie O Mahoney Cup. Congratulations to Emily from Mucklagh N.S. who won today's girls football skills competition and runners up Kate, Lucy & Ciara. Emily is the first winner of the Richie O' Mahoney Cup which is presented by Offaly Cumann na mBunscol in memory of Richie. In his dedicated work as a teacher and coach in Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada, Richie gave up countless hours of his time in the promotion of boys football, hurling, ladies football and camogie,giving many children a chance to play and more importantly, to have an enjoyable experience of Gaelic Games. Richie also served on the Offaly Cumann na mBunscol committee and helped out at our schools finals in O' Connor Park Tullamore, giving up freely of his time to umpire and steward at these game. An absolute gentleman, Richie was held in the highest esteem in Offaly Cumann na mBunscol, not only for his sporting achievements as a coach and teacher, but also for the lovely,kind and courteous manner with which he greeted everyone.
