Recently, unauthorized posts were published on Repeater’s social media accounts. These reflected solely the views of our social media manager, Adam Jones, and did not represent Repeater Books or Watkins Media. These posts have since been removed. Additionally, misinformation was shared on Repeater's Wikipedia page asserting that the imprint is defunct—this is categorically untrue. Repeater Books is not closing down and remains fully committed to our excellent lineup of books scheduled for publication through early 2026, and to our backlist. To set the record straight, we paused new commissioning last year due to significant financial challenges. Following a modest profit in 2021, 2022 and 2023 were our toughest financial years, each resulting in losses of almost £200,000. Financial difficulties continued through 2024, with losses of approximately £139,000. Throughout this challenging period, our support for existing authors and their books has remained unwavering. Repeater has always championed bold, challenging ideas, and that remains unchanged. We’re alive, and we don’t agree
