This year was the year of my awakening.

Not sure where more words came from, but...the final total for the day today is now 3,538 😎 I'm just a slave to my muse, as you can see 👀 (the muse being the voice in my head that nags me to write the stories it wants lol)

Been a hit and a miss for me today with writing, but at last count I'm hovering at 2,131 words, which felt like it should've been a lot more but eh, what can you do? How did everyone else do today? I hope everyone was able to hit their personal goals or are about to!

@writerjlbevins Not yet! I've got about an hour before I gotta call it a night. Squeezing in what I can because the inspiration is running mildly warm at the moment 😂 it's coming out slowly yet surely though!

@i_love22076 Sucks that you didn't write today, but that's awesome you did the last few! And to me that doesn't feel like a lot since I've been back and forth on writing all day. Nursing a nagging headache I always get when the heatwaves first hit, so that's been fun

@markemusgames That's still a good amount even if your heart wasn't in it! I've been there before, but I know that cleaning up the damage when you refuse to quit isn't worth it 😂

@RhysMerilot I think I hit 1000 today. Not my best effort, but I'm just getting back into writing after a vacation and my heart just wasn't in it today. I managed to stop myself before I did too much damage 😂

@Worsel96 Leave it for the birds after the experiment I suppose! I've always been tempted to try that too. One day...😂

Looks like the heatwave is back. Gonna stay inside writing instead to avoid the sun.

@RhysMerilot Oh yeah. Forgot about that. My buddy used a infrared thermometer on the sidewalk last week and it was 165. Too hot for puppers to walk on.

@Worsel96 Yeah it was pretty gross! Luckily I could walk the dog around the building just on the grass. Gotta be careful of hot pavement on days like today

@RhysMerilot The feels like is brutal. 90? Sure I can handle that. 111? Nope. Not a chance. Gonna melt. Good luck taking the dog out. Mine has been walking outside, feeling the head and noping out and heading back in. 😁

@HJames_Writes It has been! My preferred way of spending a day off while trying to hide from the brutal heatwave outside right now 😂

@Worsel96 Apparently not! But hey, it's summer I guess. But this oven-like heat is a bit too much. It is currently 90°F and feels like 111°F. I've only been outside once today, going to have to take the dog out soon real quick. Dreading it already
