@ryanels Haha, pure gold. But jokes aside, stripping out the framework bloat really does help the LLM focus on the actual logic. Might actually steal that first tip!

Quick vibe coding tip: If you are going to prompt an AI to write your application for you. At least add the line “use vanilla JavaScript and no frameworks or libraries” and of course don’t forget “make no mistakes”. At least then if it works it will always work 😆🥹

@ryanels Nothing hurts more than opening a massive repo just to realize a 2-line CSS fix could have solved the entire layout issue. 😅 Love the image choice, sums up looking at some legacy code perfectly!

If you want to be a web developer, never ignore the basics. The basics are the most stable and reliable technologies the world has to offer. Never forget that. I worked for a company that still can’t write basic CSS 🥹 I could’ve done a lot better job with 3 lines of code 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you can master these 3, you are better than 99% of the pretenders out there. You are a real programmer. Trust me. Even startups worth millions still mess up when it comes to the basics . Sad, but true 🤷🏻‍♂️

@Markmanson The ultimate loophole, learning satisfies the conscience while avoiding the vulnerability of action. But respect is earned through architecture, not blueprints. Mastery is absorbing the impact of walking the path, not just knowing it.

Using AI for everything is slowly killing your ability to think. AI should assist your brain, not replace it. The moment you stop solving problems yourself, you stop growing. 🧠⚡ Use AI as a tool. Not as your brain.

@plainionist Totally agree. We might argue all day about tabs vs. spaces or clean architecture patterns, but a 5,000-line if-else statement? That’s a universal language of pain.
