Committing and signing a baseball scholarship is cool. What's even cooler is knowing how to behave when you get there. Be mature enough to be trusted. Keep your mouth shut. Outwork everyone. Stay away from the partiers and locker room lawyers. Do more than expected. Respect the coaches and veterans. and understand Nobody cares about what you did in high school, travel ball, if you were drafted, how many offers you had, who scouted you, or what your private hitting, pitching or fielding coach thinks. The recruiting process is over and now you have to prove you can help the coaches and your teammates win games. You will be expected to earn everything and be given nothing. You better use the summer before arriving, playing as many competitive games as possible, and be addicted to the weight room, conditioning and nutrition. Show up game ready. Strong, physical, in shape, polished and ready to compete.
