Jim Morrison of the #Doors died in a #Paris bathtub on July 3rd 1971. He was only 27. Morrison was buried in a simple wooden coffin in eastern Paris at the famous Le Pere Lachaise Cemetery. I am a Doors fan, so while in Paris in the mid 1970's I visited the grave with my #leica #camera. This photograph matters to me because shortly after it was taken this beautiful bust of Morrison was stolen. "The future is uncertain and the end is always near" words written my Morrison that I live by. I re-scanned the negative and worked with #Ai tools bring these words back to life!

I first came to Austin in the summer of 1973. One of the places my hosts at the time took me was Ski Shores. It's one of the places that's changed the LEAST since then, and I hope it never does.
